We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Production Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning during the production process.
- Assemble products or components according to specifications and quality standards.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Package finished products for shipment and ensure that all packing materials meet quality guidelines.
Currently working 6 days a week, great if you want overtime!
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is encouraged but not required

**Job Summary:**
Performs manual and machine operation of various types of production equipment such as filling various components or containers, batching, labeling, machining, sorting, inspecting and packaging. Also includes responsibility for monitoring and assuring quality of product, making simple machine adjustments, keeping equipment in good working order, frequent cleaning of equipment and work area and counting and recording of production units and labor time.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Must perform a diverse range of tasks related to operating a variety of manufacturing equipment utilized in the production of various products (i.e. opening, closing, mixing, filling, loading, inserting parts, capping products, tightening lids, sealing bags, etc.).
+ Moves freely around machine to assure all working mechanisms are operating properly and reach all necessary parts in machine to make adjustments, minor repairs, set-up, changeovers, etc.
+ Must be capable of standing at workstation for extended periods of time (8 hours or more) operating equipment or packaging products while closely monitoring and visually inspecting products and process.
+ Associate may work in a filling or packaging area, inspecting product, filling cartons, bags, or containers with products, applying labels, stamping product identification numbers, expiration dates, making boxes and placing product into final package.
+ Must be consistently able to produce error-free paperwork and check the paperwork of others.
+ Required to read scales in order to weigh raw materials, final products, etc. in order to assure a consistent high-quality product.

Fabrication Department
- In our fabrication department glass is received from cutting and "fabricated" to customer specifications.
- Fabrication processes include polishing, beveling, hole-drilling, cutouts, and more.
- Operators will work multiple machines to "fabricate" the glass. Once fabricated, the glass will be moved on to the next appropriate step in the production process
- If you are mechanically minded this could be a great place for you to grow and learn about the glass industry.
Production Responsibilities
- Attend pre-shift meetings and give feedback
- Stack and sort glass on racks for the next step.
- Run glass in order according to schedule
- Crane Inspections at your machine daily
- Quality Logs per machine by piece.
- Tracking and managing daily incompletes and understand production goals and outputs.
- Follow quality guidelines and make sure each piece meets the ASTM standard.
- Work through schedules due by date to meet customers on time delivery.
- Communicate issues with your supervisor IE (Need to walk off the line); and report any safety concerns or incidents.

TEMPERING
- Tempering is the second step in our production, 85% of our glass is tempered and once cut must be sent through the oven to create tempered glass.
- Glass will be seamed, and our SGCC Certification logo engraved on the glass before entering the oven.
- Once the raw glass has been tempered in the oven our operators at the outfeed will unload and label all freshly tempered glass. Then prepare it to be delivered to the next department.
Production Responsibilities
- Attend pre-shift meetings and give feedback
- Stack and sort glass on racks for the next step.
- Complete hourly SGCC quality tests at the furnace.
- Inspect quality with the line scanner and other visual aids.
- Tracking and managing daily incompletes and understand production goals and outputs.
- Communicate issues with your supervisor IE (Need to walk off the line); and report any safety concerns or incidents.
- Learn to operate all functions of TEMPERING (Outfeed, Midfeed, Infeed)
- Wear safety gear on the floor at all times (kevlar pullover, helmet, glasses, pants, etc.).
- Wear Showa gloves when handling Soft coat glass.
- Operate and troubleshoot machinery in your department.

- Our last stop for production of Insulated Glass Windows, on our IG lines you will work as a team to feed tempered glass through our press.
- Operators will bend frames, extrude frames, operate the press that creates the glass unit, and seal the finished glass.
- Load and offload newly sealed IG units to designated areas to be prepped for the next department.
Production Responsibilities
- Complete daily quality testing.
