Job Description
• Possible temp to hire FTE for different plant locations but the contractor(s) would need to apply and interview at that time, no guarantee of being hired.
• Sustainability Implementation Practitioner Contractor for lower-level manufacturing/process engineer support in Columbia, MO some travel to El Paso, TX 30% travel.
• M-F 1st shift hours, probably no OT. Shift timing 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Interviewing process: Aaron and someone local from the plant, 1st round teams, 2nd/final onsite
• Focused on shipping/packaging assembly, execution
• Manufacturing, preferably packaging experience, SAP knowledge inside a manufacturing plant
• Participate in the process and manufacturing teams to implement the NAM Primary Packaging Roadmap dictated by the PP/PS Sustainability Team.
• Conduct research and studies on which sustainable packaging products are best suited for implementation at the local site, including coordinating formalised testing at laboratories.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, process, SCH, procurement etc. on implementing new sustainable materials.
• Lead local team to ensure all aspects of the project have been implemented.
• Physically assist with label changes, warehouse changes, workstation modifications, bin changes, etc. as needed per project.
• Research and Procure new fixtures, tools, bins, work stations, etc. as needed per project
• Conduct 3F and assist with FAIR reporting
• Provide hyper-care for new sustainable materials that have been implemented, and continuously resolve issues with new implementations.
• Assist with reporting to PP/PS Sustainability team on project updates and completions.
• Conduct financial impacts per project, including cost analysis, cycle time analysis, etc.
• Assist with any XFMEA analysis that is required for each implementation.
• Assist with work instruction modifications. Document the technical and generic specifications of the packaging process including line layouts, station layouts, capacity and workload balancing, preferred component usage, etc.
• Ensure assembly process deliverables are aligned with global assembly process practices
• Coordinate and assist with equipment installations and validations, if required.
• Obtain plant acceptance and provide the final sign-off on tool and process for project deliverables while following the principles of Client Performance System (SPS)
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or process engineering
• Experience with component replenishment / Kanban / related material handling tasks
• Experience in a new product development environment or related stage gate process awareness
• Knowledge of verification and validation process / approvals process for new product development
• Proven ability to work successfully in a multicultural virtual environment across various functions (design engineering, purchasing, quality, marketing, finance, mfg. operations and others)
• Motivated self-starter, who can work autonomously in parallel on multiple projects
• Facilitator to drive problem solving and project management activities
Preferred:
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or process engineering
• 5+ years of experience in packaging / shipping processes and related equipment.
• Experience in SAP production software

If so, we are seeking an Assistant Group Supervisor ( Deputy Manager - Prototype Manufacturing) to work closely with the Group Supervisor to provide leadership, vision and strategic mentorship to the Mechanical Fabrication Group, within the Research and Exploratory Development Department. The AGS will provide support to recruit, develop and lead all aspects of a highly skilled workforce, work closely with the other Group, Assistant Group and Section Supervisors of the Department to create and sustain a culture of technical excellence, cross-enterprise collaboration, and innovation, lead and contribute technically to sponsor and internally funded work performed in the Group.
As an Assistant Group Supervisor ( Deputy Manager - Prototype Manufacturing)you will.
# Your primary reponsibility will be to work with the Group Supervisor to help lead an organization that fabricates hardware used to explore other planets and interstellar space through various NASA missions, as well as building prototype hardware, in support of our nation's national security interests around the world. # Perform as principal investigator, individual contributor and/or technical or project lead on mechanical fabrication-related projects including machining, sheet metal forming, welding, composites, and additive manufacturing.
# Working with the Group Supervisor, provide leadership for the Group to ensure effective execution of tasking within the Group while managing workload and coverage. Ensure staff are following best processes and practices including quality management while achieving timely completion of deliverables. Recruit, develop, and retain a staff with superior technical capabilities. Define expectations, coach performance, conduct performance appraisals, and provide professional development. Coordinate training, develop and maintain critical staff skills, ensure assignment of work to staff is consistent with staff development and project needs. Communicate often and effectively with staff, section supervisors and group supervisor. Implement laboratory, department and branch policies and procedures. Work closely with the Group and Section Supervisors to create and sustain a culture of technical excellence, cross-enterprise collaboration, and innovation.
# Assist with defining, negotiating, allocating, and tracking Group level overhead and capital funding, office space and lab space. Build and ensure effective working relationships across the Department, Laboratory, and with external sponsors.
Degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
Have 10 + years of experience in mechanical fabrication, composites fabrication, additive manufacturing, or related activities.
Have demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, and planning along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have the ability to establish positive relationships and effectively interact with all levels of staff including support staff, engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and senior management.
Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. D. in a related scientific or engineering field.
Have demonstrated mechanical fabrication subject matter expertise influencing critical programs
Have completed education or a degree in technical management.
Possess a Current Top Secret or TS /SCI clearance.

As a Manufacturing Production Technician, you will play a vital role in the safe and efficient production of quality materials. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing and transport equipment, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting continuous improvement through safety and performance initiatives. This position supports both production and logistics operations, contributing to the delivery of finished goods and raw materials throughout the facility.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Champion a **safety-first culture** , actively ensuring a safe work environment.
+ Perform **quality checks** to ensure products meet specifications and compliance standards.
+ Operate and program a variety of manufacturing equipment including **presses, setters, pickers, and scales** .
+ Load and unload materials using **tram cabs, forklifts** , and other machinery.
+ Handle **material transport** to and from presses, ovens, and storage (e.g., kiln cars, pallets, racks).
+ Perform **SMS charting** and process variable analysis to maintain optimal production.
+ Conduct **minor preventative maintenance** or collaborate with maintenance teams on repairs.

+ Work independently or collaboratively, following **both detailed and broad instructions** .
**Qualifications:**
