The Machining Manufacturing Manager will lead day-to-day shop operations—overseeing CNC, manual machining and Coils, managing schedules, ensuring safety, quality, and mentoring machinists. Through strategic day to day actions, implement efficiency improvements, liaise with engineering, quoting, quality, maintenance, and report to senior leadership.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain daily/weekly production schedules
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders & planning to hit delivery targets
Team leadership and Development:
- Supervise and Mentor machinist personnel
- Conduct performance reviews and manage corrective actions
- Hire, onboard and train staff
Machining Oversight:
- Supervise machining shift leads, CNC programmers, machinist, operators
- Develop and execute strategic plans for process improvements and implementation
- Provide strategic data to day guidance to the machining department aimed at attaining KPI’s
- Work with senior management to develop KPI’s for the department
Equipment & Inventory Management:
- Coordinate maintenance and ensure uptime
- Oversee tooling, materials purchasing, and tool crib controls
Continuous Improvement & Reporting:
- Implement lean initiatives to optimize workflow
- Track KPIs (efficiency, scrap, downtime) and share metrics with management
Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Support RFQs, labor estimates, and part quoting
- Address technical queries and update clients on progress
General:
- Review of all procedures related to your job per “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”
- Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associate’s or bachelor’s in manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred — or equivalent shop experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
- For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sit or stand as needed.

**What you´ll do**
+ To assist the Supervisor, on a day to day basis, in the management of maintenance activities and, when necessary or appropriate, delegate maintenance activity responsibility for their respective shift.
+ Assist in the monitoring and management of PM activities.
+ Examine equipment to identify mechanical malfunctions and recommend alternatives to resolve problems.
+ Assist supervision to identify individual and departmental skill / process training opportunities.
+ Monitor the daily activities of production mechanics, providing priority guidance as defined by the manufacturing department.
+ Review machine efficiencies to ensure they meet or exceed minimum standards.
+ Train line personnel and mechanical trainees to use and repair equipment.
+ Assist line changeovers, set-ups, and fine tuning of equipment including weight adjustments.
+ Highlight Continuous Improvement opportunities for consideration.
+ Monitor equipment performance and communicate the necessary corrections for improvement to supervision and the mechanic staff.
+ Actively communicate with other manufacturing mechanic group leaders during shift changes to identify shift concerns or transition information on line status.
**What makes you a good fit**
+ Manufacturing Mechanic experience, minimum 7 years, required.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required and previous Manufacturing Mechanic experience, minimum 2 years, required
+ Associates degree in Mechanical Design Engineering Technology or related field desired.
+ Supervisor skills are a benefit.
+ Experienced in maintenance with a good understanding of production equipment.
+ Proper use of a multi-meter, math skills, and effective troubleshooting skills are required.
+ Must be able to read and sketch mechanical drawings.
+ A familiarity with programmable controllers is desired.
+ Must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate good motivational and communication skills.

The salary for this role is **$8.00 - 42.00/hr plus 2.00 shift differential.** This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

Job Description
We are looking for local auditors to conduct audits in various manufacturing shops. This is not full-time work. The audits could be a day, several days, weeks, it really depends on the work.
The role of the auditor is to verify if the vendor is adhering to their QC Manual through their procedures and practices.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible to note all non-conformances and communicate them to the vender so they can issue internal NCRs and CARs.
* Auditor should follow up with any NCRs and corrections.
* Review customer complaints, open/closed NCRs/CARs, NDE certifications, training records.
Audit scope: (will vary depending on the audit)
* Complete ETC Supplier Evaluation/Verification Report
* All blanks must be answered. If a statement below or a question on the audit form does not apply, check or enter N/A as an answer.
* Conduct pre and post Audit meetings.
* Review and verify vendor's safety program and practices.
* Review practical application of quality manual
* Review and evaluate implementation of written shop procedures per the QCM
* Review employee use of company SOPs
* Review employee access to the lasted copies of approved drawings and welding procedures
* Review shop receiving and shipment per SOPs
* Review SOPs and revision process
* Review shop quality checks and or shop testing per SOP
* Review engineering roles and responsibilities
* Review QA/QC roles and responsibilities
* Review non-conformances and corrective action log
* Review internal auditing reports to include sub-vendors
* Review welding and manufacturing during production per manufacture's SOPs (audit should take place during production and welding)
* Review and evaluate WPS/PQR (s) to the appropriate Code
* Review welder's qualifications
* Review welder's continuity log
* Ensure welders have access to applicable WPS
* Monitor welding per applicable WPS. Ensure essential variables to include actual volts, amps, and travel speed are within limits
* Visually inspect welds during process fabrication per applicable code of construction
* Perform visual inspection of final product
* Review RT film
* Verify storage and handling of consumables
* Review heat treatments
* Review shop travelers
* Review equipment and tools calibrations
* Certified ISO 9001 and API shops will be audited to the applicable standards
* Review safe working conditions
* Review and evaluate vendor's manufacturing process

The auditor will be required to sign an independent contractor agreement/sub-contractor agreement (1099) with SGS North America Inc. (Independent Contractor for Canada).
Work will be assigned on as needed basis and will be paid for the hours/days and other applicable cost items for the hours/days spent on the assigned work.
The work duration could be a day or several days or several weeks.
Each time an audit is completed an invoice with a time sheet is expected to pay the auditor for the completed job. Normal payment terms of the contract is 15 to 20 days after receipt of invoice.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience of auditing in the Oil and Gas industry
* The auditor should have asset experience with fixed & rotary equipment inspection. (pumps, valves, filtration and Separator units, compressors, vessels etc.)
* Preferably certified by IRCA or Equivalent
* Must have experience with manufacturing shops QMS Audits, review of NCRs, CARs, NDE certifications, training records, warehouse SOPs, shop SOPs, and tool calibrations, etc.
* Must have knowledge in fabrication and welding.
* Must have coating knowledge in industry coating standards.
* Schedule: Up to 8 hours a day - ad hoc work, not full time
* Assignments will be occurring between May and September 2025 and additional audits/inspections work could be completed over the next few years.
* Hourly rate: $60-70 (negotiable). Travel time is chargeable as audit hourly rate.
