Position Overview:
As part of the talented Facilities team, you will lead the technical development, documentation, and performance optimization of HVAC systems across a range of existing buildings and future projects. This role combines engineering design expertise with strong analytical and coordination skills to ensure systems are efficient, compliant, and well-documented. This position works closely with the Facilities and Plant Maintenance Departments in maintaining each facility to sustain ongoing operations. Lead and manage multiple projects related to building mechanical systems as needed.

Essential Functions:
+ **HVAC System Design**
+ Perform load calculations and design HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, and equipment selection.
+ Develop construction documents and specifications in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
+ Integrate HVAC designs with architectural and structural plans.
+ **System Optimization**
+ Analyze system performance and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency, occupant health and comfort.
+ Support commissioning and troubleshooting efforts to ensure systems operate as intended.
+ Recommend enhancements, standards and policies for long-term reliability and sustainability.
+ Assist technicians with troubleshooting, repair and installation of HVAC systems
+ **Sequence of Operations Development**
+ Draft and refine detailed sequences of operations for HVAC systems, ensuring clarity and alignment with design intent and control strategies.
+ Collaborate with controls contractors and commissioning agents to validate operational logic.
+ **Equipment Submittal Review**
+ Evaluate manufacturer submittals for HVAC equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements.
+ Coordinate with vendors and project teams to resolve discrepancies and approve final selections.
+ **Long Range Planning**
+ Develop and maintain long range planning for the life cycle of building mechanical systems
+ Provide prioritized capital funding recommendations for building mechanical systems
**Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
+ 3+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC modeling software (e.g., Trace 700, HAP).
+ Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, building codes, and green building practices.
+ Strong communication and documentation skills.
+ Demonstrated sound project management skills, methodologies and experience.
+ Possess sound problem-solving skills with ability to investigate, analyze information, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
+ Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, lead teams and be a team member.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $72,000 - $15,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.

V2X Engineering is seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting development of a diverse set of mission critical products including advanced airborne systems, podded communication link and sensor systems, armament equipment, suspension and release equipment, cutting edge system integrations, radar systems, cockpit displays, avionics, and more. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design of new products and test hardware, as well as the improvement of existing products. The engineer will utilize their mechanical engineering expertise during the proposal and concept generation phase, product development, production, and qualification testing phases of new product design. The engineer will have the opportunity to design creative solutions that meet product requirements. The engineer should be familiar with 3D modeling and drafting, and able be hands-on supporting production, integration, and testing. The engineer will develop solutions which leverage commercial off the shelf (COTS) products paired with custom hardware. The engineer must be a resourceful researcher engaging vendors, manufacturers, and SME's regarding design decisions. The engineer will take part in design reviews at both part, subsystem and system level including Peer Reviews, DFMAs, PDRs, and CDRs. The engineer will work closely with systems, electrical, test, and production engineers.
In addition to their technical skills, the ideal candidate leverages strong verbal and written communication to adapt to a wide variety of high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering with mechanical focus, from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 8-15 years of documented applicable experience working on facilities similar to those described above.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, with current NCEES.
  • Resides in the Tampa Bay/Clearwater Area with Florda based experience
  • Ability to work in person a minimum of three (3) days weekly in our Clearwater office.
  • Ability to travel to project locations and client meetings throughout southwest, central, east and north Florida. Travel beyond this primary area may occasionally also be required.
  • Significant experience using Autodesk REVIT gained in a similar design-related field. Experience with AutoCAD is also required.

  • Ability to climb ladders and perform field survey duties.
