**Position Specific Description**
We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on market risk manager and product controller to join our market risk management team. This team operates several areas of support that some firms may operate separately: market risk management, product control, and independent price verification. We see these areas as inseparable for a complete understanding of the trading risks. The person we are seeking is a seasoned professional who is excited about energy risk management and can translate that into building a first-class risk function.
This role reports to the Director, Head of Market Risk Management and is based at NextEra Energy's headquarters in beautiful Juno Beach, FL. **Responsibilities**
+ Join a team of 3 to 4 market risk analysts, mentor junior team membersEngage with traders, originators, and other business units to understand the strategies and risks across the trading floor and embed that understanding in risk management operations
+ Develop and implement market risk models, including VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis
+ Monitor, analyze, and report on market risk exposures and assess exposures versus established limits
+ Daily reconciliation and verification of trading P&L
+ Explain profit and loss performance to management
+ Produce and distribute daily P&L and attribution, position, and risk reports
+ Perform independent price verification of pricing curves, propose valuation reserves as appropriate
+ Evaluate complex transactions including calculating Day 1 and other reserves
+ Application of company accounting policies to support external financial reporting
+ Significant involvement in month-, quarter-, and year-end closing processes
+ Conform to SOX controls processes and innovate controls improvements

**Job Overview**
This position is responsible for ensuring the energy marketing functions are operating in a controlled environment and within established risk management limits. Employees in this role oversee a team of analysts responsible for reviewing daily trading position exposures, including time and location spreads, cross commodity arbitrage, options and hedging activity against approved limits. This position works with the Front Office and Risk teams to understand new and existing trading strategies for risk review and reporting and ensures correct application of pricing methodologies.

+ Oversees and manages a team of Trading Risk analysts in support of energy marketing functions
+ Reviews daily risk reports prepared by analysts prior to submission and regular review of deal amendments log for exceptions

Market Risk Audit is a global team of subject matter experts in traded market risk and valuation within Corporate Audit. Using a number of modeling techniques and data structures, project the potential interest rate risk on short-term earnings and longer term equity and economic value at risk. Monitor potential loss across different types of risks. Establish thresholds, at-risk levels and exposure limits by product and business. Based on model results, suggest changes to positions and strategies.

Run models that project the potential interest rate risk on short-term earnings and longer term equity / economic value at risk, taking into account both a static analysis of interest rate margins and a dynamic view of changing market conditions including elements such as yield, convexity, duration and FX. Produce fair value equivalents for asset prices and funding costs using existing pricing data from businesses, counterparties, markets, replacement costs and transfer pricing data. Manager, Structural Market Risk Oversight Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Manager, Structural Market Risk Oversight for a contract position in Chicago, IL. The opportunity will be a year with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: You will work closely with stakeholders across Risk and Finance and observe the connections between various Treasury Risk functions (ALM, Funds Transfer Pricing, Capital, Liquidity & Funding). The group focuses on interest rate risk and oversees corporate treasury, functioning as second-line oversight. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Analyze risk metrics (Economic Value of Equity, PV01, Earnings at Risk) from modelling, interest rate and balance sheet changes/movements. Monitor structural market risk limits set by the bank as a second line of defense function. Deviations and excesses from structural market risk limits require investigation and sign-off from executives. Review and challenge models and non-model assumptions. Prepare presentations and materials on structural market risk position to be discussed at committee meetings comprised of senior leaders of Market Risk and Corporate Treasury. Support audit and regulatory findings remediation efforts. Conduct research and develop tools that use data to make better decisions. Apply knowledge of risk assessment and controls along with extensive understanding of industry compliance standards and regulations. Identify ways of mitigating potential risks; recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business. Document data flow, systems and processes to improve the design, implementation, and management of business/group processes. Conduct quantitative research in risks across strategies and portfolios. Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations. Review structural market risk models and assumptions. Risk committee reporting & analysis. Work with QRM to extract data and reports for analysis. Qualifications: Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
