Roles/Responsibilities of SQL Developer
- Business Intelligence development (PowerBI is what they use but also have Tableau and ERP based reporting)

-Writing, editing and optimizing moderately complex SQL queries and T-SQL statements
-Database and Data Warehouse design / architecture (Train and future for right person)

Current Need
As a senior member of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) within McKesson As a senior member of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) within McKesson Technology (MT), this position plays a critical role in translating complex data into strategic insights that drive enterprise decision-making, portfolio optimization, and operational efficiency. The Sr. BI Analyst will lead data initiatives that enhance visibility, drive accountability, and support performance measurement across portfolios, programs, and IT investments.
Position Description
This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and business acumen to influence outcomes at both tactical and strategic levels. You will champion data quality, standardization, and governance practices, working closely with stakeholders across MT, finance, and business units to design and deliver impactful analytical products and visualizations.
This position will focus on designing and deploying automation solutions and scalable data products using tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. You will collect, connect, and transform data from a variety of systems, building reusable workflows, apps, and self-service analytics that drive decision-making and operational efficiency. A key responsibility will be to establish and protect trusted data sources-ensuring they are well-governed, consistently structured, and easily accessible for business users.
The role requires a strong understanding of automation, low-code/no-code platforms, and data modeling practices that support both operational reporting and proactive insights. You will work closely with internal teams to translate business needs into automated solutions, self-service dashboards, and predictive analytics. Responsibilities include designing user-friendly interfaces, developing automated data pipelines, enabling self-service capabilities, and supporting best practices in data quality, governance, and reusability.

Key Responsibilities
Leverage AI Powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate data exploration, automate repetitive analysis tasks, and enhance storytelling with data.
Design and implement automation workflows to streamline data collection, transformation, and reporting processes.
Analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources (e.g., SAP, Planview, SQL databases) to identify trends, patterns, and insights)
Uses Structured Query Language (SQL) to gather and assess data from the reporting database, transactional database, operational data store, and external systems to assist internal and external leadership in decision making.
Establish and champion data integrity protocols. Partner with IT and business units to monitor, improve, and enforce data quality standards across systems impacting EPMO reporting and analytics.
Lead efforts to forecast trends and model portfolio performance using advanced statistical techniques and business scenario analysis.

Minimum Requirements

Critical Skills
7+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or portfolio analytics, ideally in an enterprise IT environment
Advanced Power BI expertise, including data modeling, DAX, and development of impactful data visualizations tailored for executive and operational audiences
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric for unified data management and analytics across data engineering and business intelligence workflows
Proficient in Power Automate to streamline and automate workflows between Microsoft and third-party applications
Strong command of SQL for complex querying, data extraction, and transformation across multiple data platforms
Experience with Databricks and Snowflake for scalable data processing, pipeline development, and advanced analytics use cases
Awareness and practical application of Microsoft Copilot or similar generative AI tools to accelerate insights, reporting, and documentation

Additional Skills

- Provide comprehensive review of financial and operational performance using data visualization across multiple forms of media.
- Produce pricing and profitability analytics along with market analysis to define pricing structure.
- Respond promptly to reporting requests and manage team to support ad hoc analysis requests.
- Provide complex territory analytics with a comprehensive review business and operational performance.
- Act as the subject matter expert in support analytics for marketing and operational performance.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a key member of our client's team, you will have the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge data solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights for the end user. You will be responsible for creating, deploying, and maintaining effective data structures, ETL processes, BI infrastructure, data visualization tools, and analytical tools. With your expertise in Tableau and programming, you will serve as the go-to resource for data manipulation, transformation, and automation. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
- Expert knowledge of programming with Tableau and SQL.
- Expertise with the Microsoft BI stack (i.e. Visual Studio/SSDT/SSIS) including recent versions of SQL Server. Expertise in applying ETL best practices. Expertise with SQL Server performance tuning techniques. Proficient with Git and/or Azure DevOps.
- Expert in designing data warehouse structures.
- Experience with Cloud (i.e. Azure, AWS).
- Experience with Web Services (i.e. SOAP, Rest, WSDL).
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
- Experience with Tableau.
