Marketing Automation Manager
Position Summary
The Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing automated marketing campaigns that drive engagement, nurture leads, and support revenue goals. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise within marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or Eloqua. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of the buyer journey, and the ability to align automation initiatives with broader marketing and sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Design, implement, and manage automated marketing workflows, email campaigns, and lead nurturing programs.
+ Maintain and optimize marketing automation platforms and ensure integration with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
+ Develop audience segmentation strategies and personalize campaign content to maximize engagement and conversion.
+ Collaborate with content, digital, and sales teams to align campaigns with overall business goals.
+ Track and analyze campaign performance metrics (CTR, conversion rate, lead scoring, etc.) to inform continuous improvement.
+ Ensure data hygiene and compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.).
+ Support lead management processes, including scoring, routing, and reporting.
+ Test and iterate on workflows, messaging, and timing to improve automation effectiveness.
+ Train team members and stakeholders on marketing automation best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
+ 3-5+ years of experience managing marketing automation systems (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, etc.).
+ Proficiency in CRM systems and integrations (e.g., Salesforce).
+ Strong understanding of lead nurturing, lifecycle marketing, and email deliverability.
+ Analytical mindset with experience using data to measure and improve campaign performance.
+ Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
+ Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and comfort troubleshooting email templates (preferred).
+ Marketing automation certification (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo Certified Expert) is a plus.

Crisis24 is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Marketing Automation Manager to support the execution, optimization, and measurement of our marketing automation programs, email marketing initiatives, and marketing technology stack. This role bridges the gap between marketing execution and backend systems combining technical expertise in marketing automation platforms with a strong foundation in email campaign management and marketing operations best practices. You will play a key hands-on, critical role in campaign setup, driving scalable email marketing programs, maintaining data integrity across systems and ensuring flawless campaign execution to drive funnel conversions to support business revenue.

This position will be located in the Annapolis, MD office on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Work On

  • Marketing Automation and Operations: Assist with scaling marketing initiatives across marketing tech platforms and optimizing marketing systems, data and reporting.
  • Email Campaign Management: Manage email build, optimization and execution, ensuring accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with digital, product, content, sales, account management and business application teams to ensure marketing programs run smoothly, reach the right audiences, and deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, collaborate with stakeholders, and execute targeted email and nurture campaigns, newsletters, event invites to drive engagement and conversions
  • Manage email lists, segmentation, testing, and email performance tracking
  • Optimize email deliverability, open/click rates, and compliance with privacy laws
  • Build and manage marketing workflows and trigger campaigns within our marketing automation platform, and/or across marketing technology stack
  • Assist with lead scoring, segmentation, and lifecycle tracking

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with 2+ years in a marketing automation and operations-focused role.
  • Strong marketing automation and email marketing skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proven expertise in platforms like Marketo, HubSpot, or Pardot, and CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Deep knowledge of email best practices, personalization strategies, and data compliance standards.

Humana's Marketing organization is seeking a Marketing Automation Manager who specializes in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Next Best Action (NBA) execution to join the team as a Senior Product Manager working anywhere in the US. As a Specialist in NBA Execution, you'll play a hands-on role in translating strategy into real-time journeys using Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
You will Lead all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, you will monitor the efficacy of products and use customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjust products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes.
**Key Role Functions**
+ Configure, test, deploy, and iterate personalized journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer based on NBA strategy
+ Collaborate with the data analytics team to build, refine, and validate audience segments in Adobe Experience Platform using real-time behavioral signals and profile attributes
+ Partner with lifecycle marketers, data scientists, and channel leads to activate journey logic and improve targeting
+ Conduct rigorous QA across events, wait steps, personalization rules, and cross-channel triggers
+ Monitor performance and resolve execution issues; partner with analytics to refine logic and improve outcomes
+ Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for AJO/AEP capabilities; upskill others on best practices in journey orchestration

**Required Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of marketing operations or lifecycle marketing experience
+ 2+ years of hands-on configuration experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer and Adobe Experience Platform
+ Strong understanding of customer journey logic, event triggers, decision orchestration, and personalization
+ Effective communicator across technical and business teams; detail-oriented in managing journey flows
+ Comfortable working in pod-based or agile cross-functional environments
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Adobe certifications in AEP or AJO are a plus
+ Familiarity with Adobe Real-Time CDP, XDM schemas, or event tagging
+ Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services)
+ Exposure to JSON, event payloads, or API-driven personalization
+ Understanding of NBA personalization logic frameworks

**This role is a 100% remote role anywhere in the US and will primarily operate on Eastern Standard Time business hours.**
