Summary
We are looking for a proficient Cost Engineer to join our Atlanta office and support the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Centralized Project Management Office (CMPO). This role is crucial for providing detailed cost analysis and financial forecasting for our projects. The Cost Engineer will work closely with project managers and engineering teams to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control throughout each project's lifecycle in support of MARTAs pursuit of rehabilitating, enhancing, and expanding its $6B Capital Improvement Program.

The Cost Engineer plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our projects by monitoring costs, forecasting expenses, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. Accurate cost management leads to better decision-making and helps prevent financial overruns, which are critical for the profitability and success of our projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Cost Engineer will be responsible for the following key duties:
- Cost Estimation and Analysis: Prepare cost estimates for project bids, change orders, and project variations. Analyze project costs and identify trends that could impact project budgets.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with project managers to set up cost control systems, monitor budgets, and track expenses against approved budgets.
- Financial Forecasting: Provide regular financial forecasts to project teams and management to aid in strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential financial risks in projects and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Reporting: Develop and deliver detailed reports on project financial status to senior management, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting corrective actions as needed.
- Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement process by providing financial insights and cost analysis for purchasing decisions.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer, Cost Analyst, or similar role in a construction or engineering environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with cost management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of construction processes and project management.
- Experience with financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.

This position is responsible for the safe transportation of passengers traveling throughout the Wooster (Wayne County) area and demonstrates superior customer skills.
What We Are Looking For:
- Provides safe and reliable transportation service to the general public, senior and ADA passengers.
- Reports any maintenance problems to Dispatch in accordance with company procedures.
- Reports for duty following a set shift schedule.
- May be required to operate Circulator Bus Service or On Demand Service.
- Exercises passenger management and exceptional customer service.

The City of Kingman is seeking an individual for a Part-Time Transit Operator position in Public Works. The hourly rate is $18.86 - $22.63. The position is open until filled and operates Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM. This position is up to 19 hours per week and is non-benefit eligible.
The City of Kingman is located in Mohave County, approximately 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas and 195 miles northwest of Phoenix. The area offers a wide range of recreational activities and was named one of the "Nicest Places in Arizona" by Reader's Digest in 2019. With more than 400 employees across 30 divisions, the City of Kingman provides exceptional public services to over 30,000 residents.
Operates a public transit vehicle to provide transportation services to citizens. Works under the supervision of the Public Transit Superintendent and Crew Leader. No supervision exercised.
Minimum Qualifications/Special RequirementsEducation and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
- Possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License, Class C or higher with a "P" (Passenger) endorsement.
- One (1) year experience in the operation of a transit bus or passenger van.
- Experience transporting or working with elderly and disabled persons preferred.

- Completes a daily vehicle pre/mid/post inspection including oil, fuel and fluid levels, lifts, doors, tires, etc., and records such on a maintenance checklist; reports malfunctions as necessary; cleans and fuels vehicle. Completes and maintains vehicle log book.
- Assists passengers, including the elderly and handicapped, in boarding and exiting the vehicle as necessary.
- Greets each passenger with a pleasant, positive and welcoming attitude.
- Operates the wheelchair lift or ramp for riders when needed or requested.
- Transports passenger equipment including oxygen tanks, wheelchairs and bicycles. Secures onboard equipment and mobility devices to various tie-down systems.
- Operates cell phone with the use of a hands-free Bluetooth device to communicate with dispatch.
- Collects appropriate fare from passengers and accurately completes corresponding paperwork for each fare. Checks passenger passes to confirm they are valid and current. Transports collected fares to Transit Office daily.
- Provides information regarding the City's Public Transit services including schedule and route information.
- Prepares accident reports and various other reports required by federal and/or state regulations.
- May respond to medical situations and administer first aid in emergency situations, including proper cleanup and disposal. Notifies 911 for emergency medical response as necessary.
- Monitors and assesses activities of patrons to identify inappropriate, unsafe or inappropriate behavior; tactfully advises of rules and resolves the issue with individual(s) involved; notifies the police department to respond if inappropriate activity escalates and/or may become dangerous, unsafe to patrons and self.
- May be assigned to the dispatch office, to receive telephone inquiries, and utilize computerized dispatch systems (i.e., reservations, complaints, inquiries, etc.) and dispatching drivers to deviated stops.
- Fuels and cleans transit vehicle daily at end of shift.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Assists with training and cross-training of other Public Transit Operators.
- Provides back-up assistance and support to other drivers due to disabled equipment, absences and as needed.
- Communicates and acts in a polite and professional manner with the public, co-workers, and work contacts.
- Provides excellent customer service to all contacts.
