Description

Position Summary
The Master Data Coordinator is responsible for creating, maintaining, and governing accurate master data records across the organization's ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role ensures integrity of key data elements such as SKUs, vendors, pricing, product hierarchies, and attributes. By safeguarding the accuracy and consistency of master data, this position supports efficient fulfillment, replenishment, financial reporting, and decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities

Master Data Management
• Create, validate, and maintain SKU/item master records in ERP/WMS, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
• Manage vendor master data including account details, payment terms, and compliance attributes.
• Ensure accuracy of product hierarchies, categories, and attributes for reporting and system integration.
• Support onboarding of new vendors and products by coordinating data collection and system entry.
• Document and enforce master data governance policies and SOPs to maintain consistency across systems.

Data Integrity & Governance
• Perform regular audits to identify duplicate, incomplete, or inaccurate records, and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot master data errors impacting WMS, ERP, or downstream systems and resolve root causes.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance with data governance standards and policies.
• Track data changes and maintain audit trails to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to manage master data setup, updates, and discontinuance.
• Lead cross-functional communication cadence with stakeholders to ensure ongoing master data health.
• Support reporting and analytics teams by ensuring clean, accurate, and timely master data availability.
• Provide training or guidance to end-users on data entry standards and best practices.

Process Improvement & Efficiency
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to reduce manual entry, enhance automation, and improve data quality.
• Recommend system enhancements or workflow improvements to strengthen data integrity.
• Participate in projects involving system upgrades, integrations, or data migrations.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
• 2-4 years of experience in master data management, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
• Strong ERP/WMS experience required; familiarity with item master and vendor master modules.
• High attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables) and comfortable handling large datasets.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple requests and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and master data best practices.
• Experience with EDI vendor setup and compliance requirements.
• Background in retail or omni-channel fulfillment environments.
• Familiarity with SQL or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) for data validation.
• Understanding of financial implications of master data accuracy (pricing, costing, terms).

Physical Requirements
• Primarily office/computer-based role with occasional time in warehouse/fulfillment areas.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The Manager, Master Data Management (MDM) is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and ongoing governance of enterprise-wide master data initiatives and systems. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of key data domains (e.g., customer, product, vendor, employee) across systems and business units. The MDM Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data standards, drive adoption, and deliver measurable business value through improved data quality and governance.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop and execute the enterprise MDM strategy aligned with business goals.
+ Oversee the integration of master data across various enterprise systems, platforms, and data pipelines to ensure consistency and a single source of truth. Secures resources and provides direction to the project team.

**Qualifications**

+ 7-10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or enterprise data programs.
+ 3-5+ years of experience managing MDM initiatives or programs.
+ Strong understanding of MDM data architecture (possibly using CDM from Microsoft D365), data integration methods (ETL, API), enterprise MDM platforms, and data quality tools
+ Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, New Data Lake tools etc.).
+ Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
**Preferred Skills**
+ Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, finance, manufacturing).
+ Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
+ Certification in data management or governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
