HOW A MATERIAL COORDINATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
+ Review production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material; arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments, and examines material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified
+ Monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote-control panel board, compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using adding machine; compile report of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck; may compile perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system, and maintain employee records
+ Work requires regular and recurring physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and similar activities in and around distribution areas on a concrete floor.

**The Opportunity:**
CACI is currently seeking a Material Coordinator. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is based at our Melbourne, FL facility.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Track materials throughout the production lifecycle
+ Create manufacturing orders and purchase requests for consumables and inventory to support material planning
+ Support the non-conformance process, including associated material transactions
+ Monitor production inventory levels and assist with inventory audits
+ Participate in daily production stand-up meetings
+ Close manufacturing orders and deliver completed parts to the stockroom
+ Validate that manufacturing documentation matches the as-built configuration
+ Respond to emergency parts requests and provide on-call support as needed
+ Collaborate with receiving inspection to process incoming parts

**Qualifications:**

MATERIAL COORDINATOR (BSAD)
Bowhead seeks a Material Coordinator to join our team in supporting the upcoming contract in Charleston, SC.
**Responsibilities**
+ The desired applicant has experience handling manufactured materials, unloading materials, utilizing a band saw to cut raw materials, and operating forklifts and hand trucks.
+ Applicant must have the capability of using common measuring tools such as dial calipers and tape measures.
**Qualifications**
+ Must have a high school diploma.
+ Two (2) years of experience, to include: Coordinating and expediting flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with Facility Manager or Facility Staff Engineer(s) priorities.
+ Reviewing production schedules and conferring with Facilities Staff to determine material requirements.
+ Arranging transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examining material to verify type specified for current project; and computing amount of material needed for specific job orders.
+ Compiling reports of quantity and type of material on hand and coordinating with Facility Staff for the repair and assembly/installation of facilities unique material.
+ Proficient at utilizing operational inventory management software tools to verify existing inventory levels and generate accurate reports. They will also automate logistic reporting as necessary using these software suites to ensure efficient and real-time inventory monitoring.
+ Basic level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
+ Capable of using common measuring tools such as dial calipers and tape measures.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and management and respond to instructions/assignments.
+ Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

**General Summary**
Coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.
**Essential Duties**
+ Reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and locate material
+ Maintain working familiarity with hazardous material documentation (SDS)
+ Creates purchase orders in proprietary computer system
+ Maintains vendor records in accordance with Company policy
+ Matches delivery and billing records to purchase orders
+ Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material
+ Arranges for transfer of materials to meet production schedules
+ Arranges with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments
+ Examines material delivered to production departments to verify material meets specifications
+ Computes amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes as needed
+ Compiles reports of quantity and type of material on hand as needed
+ Transports material from one department to another, using hand truck or industrial truck as needed
+ Compiles perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system as needed

**Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements**
+ High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred
+ Ability to research parts independently
+ Familiarity with basics of building maintenance
+ Good communication skills necessary

**Work Environment**
+ Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.

**What you'll do:**
The Material Coordinator will provide logistic expertise, support, and direction to the Fabrication Team and Box Line Assembly operations. They will assist the Fabrication Planning Supervisor in scheduling and providing material support for all our internal assembly customers and ensure our customer's needs for Kanban material are identified, ordered, produced and delivered within the required lead time to meet their promise dates. Also, the Material Coordinator will play a key role in trouble shooting process detractors, identifying process improvement opportunities and working with internal/external customers to meet their needs as well as constantly monitoring and adjusting customer Kanban levels to support changing demand requirements. The Material Coordinator will also work to increase profitability by aligning performance with production goals, quality standards, and customer service objectives.
- Will manage BoxLine Kanban process to ensure that parts are being produced in the manufacturing area and delivered per customer's requirements.
- Will work directly with the assembly operations and the front-end customer support group to ensure that needed orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Will perform daily Box Line Job releases accurately and timely.
- Will perform daily updates in the AS-400 system to reflect the current fabrication start dates for released jobs.
- Will understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Ensure assigned work-area is clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.
- Will comply with and enforce all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
- Will understand the metrics necessary for managing and maintaining an efficient Kanban system.
- Will manage conduit shield production, from order entry, through fabrication, and into shipping.
- Will perform as back up for the fabrication team leaders and process coordinators when needed.
- Will assist fabrication team leaders / coordinators in compiling daily production and status reports.
- Will work on improvement initiatives and special project assignments as required.
- Will keep assigned work-area clean and organized per 5S standards.
- Will exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills so as to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the production process.
- Will perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health.
