Starting Pay: $18.50/hour
6 Months Pay Progression: $9.20/hour
12 Months Pay Progression: 19.90/hour
500 Sign-On Bonus (After 120 days of successful employment)

Schedule: Monday through Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm.
All teammates must be willing to work overtime if needed. Overtime is scheduled Monday through Friday 7:00am - 9:00am and/or Saturday and Sunday 6:00am - 11:00am/2:30pm.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for creating RAVING FANS of our customers this includes receiving, binning, picking, packing, and shipping customers' orders in a safe, productive, and error-free manner. You may operate various pieces of equipment including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, and Stand-up Dock Trucks. This position requires you to lift (up) to 50lb. regularly, and includes stooping, walking and standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with suppliers and interact with all departments within the company.

As our enthusiastic and hardworking SALES ASSOCIATE/MATERIAL HANDLER, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Ensuring all Customers and Donors needs are met by a genuine greeting and giving prompt, and courteous assistance.
  • Stocking priced items ready to be merchandised on the sales floor.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of the store and donation area, to keep it clean, neat, and organized. Perform cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
  • Following all POS/Cash Register Policies in accordance with TSA Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintaining safety and compliance standards.
  • Attending required Monthly Store Meetings.
  • Receiving, unload, and stock incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently.
  • Providing Quality Assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
  • Courteously assist the donor in the removal of all donated items from the donor’s vehicle and provide receipt.
  • Separating and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by Management.
  • Performing other written and/or verbal duties as may be assigned by Management.

Qualifications to be considered for this position:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
  • Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employee must be flexible to always ensure adequate store coverage. Part-time associates may be scheduled to work any part-time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Salvation Army will comply with all governmental orders and any contractual obligations relative to COVID-19 safety measures, including mandatory vaccination of staff, if required. Responsibilities

• Safely operate reach trucks to move, stage, and organize materials in high-bay racking systems

• Load and unload trailers, containers, and pallets efficiently and accurately

• Perform put-away, replenishment, and order-picking tasks using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)

• Verify and match shipping and receiving documents to ensure accuracy

• Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels

• Label, weigh, and measure freight for shipment preparation

• Identify and report damaged, misrouted, or missing materials

• Collaborate with warehouse leads and supervisors to prioritize workload and meet deadlines

• Perform equipment inspections before operation and report any safety or maintenance concerns

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards


Qualifications

• Recent Reach Truck experience required (must be comfortable operating in high racking environments)

• RF scanner or WMS experience preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented

• Must pass a 10-year national background check and drug screen

•Monday: 1:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Primary Responsibility:

Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks and radio frequency equipment.

What You'll Do:

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Effectively stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
• In compliance with OSHA standards, operate equipment (sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk behinds, single/double pallet jacks and RF scanners) in a manner that promotes safety.
• Must be able to meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes and may be required to perform other duties outside of normal responsibilities as needed.

What Experience and Education You Need:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

• An ability to work independently.
• Ability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends to complete work or to attend meetings as assigned, and the ability to adhere to attendance policies by showing up to assigned shift on time.

Physical Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions for this position and meet the physical requirements needed to perform them, including but not limited to frequently requiring the ability to drive a forklift, sit, hear, or talk, use close vision, use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, and type and manipulate controls. While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate:

• Must be able to work in spaces with 55 inches of headroom.

• Must tolerate heights up to 30 ft. and be able to access elevated products from inside safety cage.
• May stand to rebuild pallets with products. Requires tolerance of standing posture up to 5 hours, over an 8-10-12 hour shift. Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able lift boxes of varying weights from 10 lbs. up to 55 lbs. from ground level to 80 inches in height and up 70 lbs. to 50 inches in height rebuilding pallets without assistance. Must be able to lift and carry product a distance of 6 ft. without mechanical assistance.
• Wear clothing,boots, headgear, and gloves that protect against the cold.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards/requirements.
