As a Materials and Processes Engineer you'll work on a broad range of projects, in both a laboratory and advanced manufacturing environment, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. In this role you will:
- Perform Materials and Processes (M&P) technical engineering assignments
- Troubleshoot problems and find innovative solutions
- Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports. Present this information to Customers, subcontractors, and internal LM stakeholders
- Lead technical projects and conduct meetings with internal engineering teams, Customer representatives and external suppliers to meet program objectives
- Review, and critique M&P technical documentation for application at LM and subcontractors. Recommend and ensure that corrective action is implemented when needed.
- Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement

**Scope of Role**
Provide technical and operational support to the Crucible Melting, Ceramics and Batching team within Engineering, Materials and Processing at Sullivan Park. **Scope of Position**
In this role you will apply Materials Science Engineering fundamental principles to solve technical challenges primarily related to Ceramic, Metal and Polymer materials used in Corning manufacturing processes and products. **Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Extracts, develops, processes and tests materials used to create a variety of products. Works with metals, ceramics, plastics, semi-conductors, and composites to create new materials that meet certain mechanical, electrical, chemical, and other requirements.
+ Evaluates technical and economic factors, recommending engineering and manufacturing actions for attainment of design objectives of process or product by applying knowledge of material science and related technologies.

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our Materials & Process team in support of
ordnance evaluation and production support. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and
performance of critical hardware through laboratory testing and direct engagement with production
teams.
In this role, you will conduct service life evaluation and acceptance testing of ordnance articles
using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and methods. You will design, execute, and interpret test
programs to assess functional performance, environmental resistance, and long-term reliability. In
addition, you will be a hands-on technical partner to the production floor, helping resolve
integration challenges, improve assembly processes, and ensure flawless hardware delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute testing for ordnance components, including service life and acceptance
