Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe District Food and Operation Manager (DM) is responsible for protecting the company's brands and promoting La Lomita vision, mission, and values. The DM is responsible for the execution of all marketing directives, sales initiatives, and delivering results. The DM's actions should improve customer experiences and maximize operational excellence. The DM is the face of La Lomita. They collaborate effectively and above all else nurture and drive the culture of safety, sales, and service in every store.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential job functions include, but are not limited to:Accountable for the overall profitability of store locations.Accountable for monitoring and meeting all controllables.Timely communication of all operational exceptions that impede any customer services or affect any of our employees' health or safety.Increasing sales, protecting gross profit dollars, and controlling expenses.Proper and timely execution of marketing strategies, company policies, processes, and procedures.Cultivates high-performing organizational talent by developing internal leaders, as well as championing the identification and attraction of high potential external talent.District Food & Operation Managers spend most of their time in stores. During visits they are hands-on, foster a safe and inviting environment, and set goals and reporting expectations.Execute operational plans to optimize store profits while maintaining food safety, food quality, cleanliness, and guest service standards.Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required for the position. Analyzes data and generate action items to improve overall operational excellence.Approves schedules two weeks in advance and with a focus on overtime reduction.Overall responsibility for keeping up to date all training and certifications required.Effectively communicate pertinent information to staff and management teams. Encourages open communication and feedback.Responsible for building strong vendor relationships to ensure steady supply chain and instock position.Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding food inspections, safety, quality control as well as recipes and food preparation.Enforce and follow all company policies and established procedures.Assist in cost audit reconciliation efforts and reporting.Assist in inventory audits, cycle counts, and merchandise counts as directed.Ability to repair dispenser hanging hardware.Stores are to be visited a minimum of once per week.Accountable for ongoing training for prevention of store scams.Responsible for accurate fuel, food, and merchandise surveys as required.Night visits are required monthly. RequirementsQualificationsThe position requirements include, but are not limited to:Minimum five (5) years' experience in multi-unit retail experience with QSR experience and 2 years in management.Minimum of 2 years' experience as a food service manager.Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.ServSafe CertifiedTABC CertifiedUST Certification Training - Class A/B & C TrainingCompetenciesComfortable in a fast-moving, agile, and demanding environment.Communicates with courtesy.Has a sense of urgency.Positive, can-do attitude and true ownership mentality.High energy and a strong work ethic.Ability to teach, demonstrate, communicate, and promote a guest-focused attitude and approach.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Possess effective leadership, coaching, and management behaviors.Ability to analyze data and generate insights, issues, and opportunities.EducationThe position requires the following educational experience:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, or related field.Or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.Work EnvironmentWork is performed primarily inside a retail store.
