Job Responsibilities

• Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.

• Adaptable to customer needs.

• Repairs various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, office equipment, etc.

• Inspects assigned area on a routine basis and performs maintenance as needed to keep facility in functioning and serviceable condition.

• Completes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.

• Reports on any major maintenance need and recommends corrective action as appropriate.

• Demonstrates efficient and safe use of equipment and tools.

• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to component and departmental training commitments.

• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred

• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks

• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

• Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others

• Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment

• Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements

• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas

• Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel

• Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required

• Ensures security of company assets

TITLE: Food Manufacturing Quality Technician- Night ShiftDEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance Quality Control REPORTS TO: QAQC ManagerHOURS: Monday through Friday, 8pm to 4:30amPOSITION SUMMARY: Join our team as a Food Food Manufacturing Quality Technician and help ensure the highest standards of seafood processing at JJ McDonnell. This hands-on role plays a key part in maintaining food safety, sanitation, and product quality in a fast-paced, cold environment. Ideal for candidates with experience in food service, seafood, manufacturing environments. This position is responsible for overall quality assurance and quality control for the Company.REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Support the Quality Assurance Manager and department in the maintenance of all current regulatory programs (USDA/ FSIS, HACCP, BRC, SSOP, GMP, FDA, MSC, MDH).•Monitoring GMPs, HACCP and food safety, sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) and pest control for the facility.•Meet established goals and objectives by deadlines and complete them in a thorough manner.•Responsible for monitoring and programing critical control points (CCP).•Responsible for monitoring and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process. •Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.•Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation. •Ensure employees are following all food safety and worker safety practices. •Ensure and educate employees about food safety and GFSI standards. •Collect product samples for Product Development, lab retains and the laboratory when directed. •Perform inspections on products, equipment and machinery. •Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, as needed.•The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.Routine Tasks: •Verification of food safety programs and documentation •Daily pre operational inspection•Daily GMP audit •Daily protein checks•Daily temperature and scale calibration•Weekly light bulb/shield inspection•Weekly thermometer calibrations•Weekly scale calibration checks•Weekly lobster tank testing•Weekly listeria testing and environmental swabbing•Weekly QA walkthrough of the facility•Monthly glass/brittle plastic audit•Moisture and other quality testing•Ozone testingCertifications Needed/Preferred: •Seafood HACCP - Preferred•GFSI or equivalent to BRCGS- Preferred•Environmental / Microbiological Lab Testing Experience - PreferredSkills: •Proficient in Microsoft Office •Must have good written and oral communication skills •Detail oriented when reviewing documentation for completion and accuracy •Self-motivated with proven leadership skills•Able to lift/move up to 75 pounds•Prior experience in food environment a plus •Must be able to work in wet, cold, humid conditions for extended periods of time•Must have a positive attitude •Ability to work in fast-paced, effectively under pressure•Working and communication with outside 3rd party labs•Calibration of scales/ thermometers •Willing to work different shifts and work weekends DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience: •Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university a plus.•Three to five years of progressively responsible, related experience in a position of comparable scope and size to the Company in the seafood industry.•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.•Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.•Excellent verbal and written communications skills.•Able to transfer attention from one task to another frequently without affecting performance.Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: •Must have completed HACCP training program with certificate.•Able to manage a large volume of detailed work with accuracy.•Must have great attention to detail.•Able to present HACCP information and respond to questions from employees, customers, 3rd Party auditors, and governmental agencies.•Must be able to read and write in English.•Bilingual - English/Spanish beneficial, but not required.EXPECATIONS:•Follow and demonstrate company values: Teamwork, Respect of Self and Others, Personal Responsibility, Trust, Honesty & Integrity•Teamwork with the members of the Processing Room including Associates, Leads, and Supervisor.•Reliability: Be on time and work each shift •Communication: Provide excellent communication with your supervisor, teammates, and members of the Processing Room.
