Supply Chain Manager
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for strategic and operational execution of the Materials and Supply Chain organization (purchasing) to support American BOA and BOA Group. This includes the management for programs and pursuits, the development and implementation of strategies to meet business performance expectations, and the accomplishment of Supply Chain continuous improvement goals and initiatives. This is a highly visible role and candidate must be comfortable with interacting with persons at all levels of the organization, as well as customers and external auditors. Additional responsibilities include leading the organization in the development and implementation of procurement, subcontract and material objectives, supply chain policy and procedures, and execution of business strategies.
This role oversees initiatives resulting in the continuous improvement of the Supply Chain through cost reduction, quality improvement, uninterrupted material supply, and lead-time reduction. This individual is ultimately responsible for strict adherence to BOA ethics, internal controls and ensuring government compliance. This position reports to Managing Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategic and tactical operational execution of the supply chain and materials organization
- Responsible for analyzing and interpreting regulatory requirements and determining how they apply to the Supply Chain. Regulatory requirements include ITAR, EAR, and FAR/DFARS.
- Supply chain staffing, development and implementation of strategies to meet key performance expectations and continuous improvement goals
- Collaborating with business development, program management and engineering to ensure early supply chain involvement in proposal and design efforts.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and model a high degree of personal accountability, professionalism and discretion
- Lead organization in development/implementation of strategy for procurement, subcontracts/material, and other supply chain related areas.
- Strong analytical skills, as well as highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required
- Oversee initiatives resulting in the continuous improvement of supply chain through cost reduction, quality improvement and lead-time reduction
- Ensure accurate, efficient, and inventory management processes and controls
- Create supply chain strategies to meet division business plan and objectives
- Develop compliant processes and achieve United States Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)/ Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance
- Strong business acumen
- Proven experience in attracting, developing and retaining a diverse workforce
- Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate a proactive approach to managing workload in a fast-pace environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, logistics or a related field; advanced degree preferred (MBA a plus)
- Minimum of 5-7 years Supply Chain Management experience
- Strong SAP and data analytical skills
- Experience with US Government, Department of Defense contracts and United States Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)/ Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for developing and executing inventory planning strategies to optimize stock levels across a subset of Corrugated Packaging plants, while also supporting short-term ITP planning (0-13 weeks). The Supply Analyst emphasizes determining inventory strategies, setting targets, overseeing finished goods automated replenishment, and applying logic to balance demand and supply in alignment with strategic and area objectives. Working collaboratively with Master Planners, Line Schedulers, Customer Service, Inventory Management, Supply Planning, Area Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams, this role drives decisions to maximize OTIF, minimize working capital, and balance costs such as $/MSF, freight, and inventory. While learning master planner responsibilities, they will also focus on inventory planning, analytics, and optimization to support operational and financial goals.

* Technology implementation of o9 ITP and Inventory Planning modules represents a significant investment in advanced planning capabilities
* ITP Corrugated deployment accelerated to March 2026 go-live; Roles to support with data validation, user acceptance testing, and implementation of short-term supply chain planning (0-13 weeks)

The focus of the Production Planner position is the scheduling and daily trimming of the Corrugated Segment mills.u202F The Production Planner works closely with all Customer Service groups, mill personnel, and transportation staff to manage the mill production schedule in a manner that allows for an orderly flow of production to customers, while minimizing costs.u202FThis position is responsible for the optimal scheduling of 10MM+ tons of containerboard and specialty paper on 35 Paper Machines.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
* Ensuring that 3-7 days of trimmed schedule (batches) is maintained at all assigned mills to allow for improved transportation planning
* Reviews schedules to maximize the use of trim rolls across all machines and works with appropriate parties to obtain necessary orders/sizes needed to optimize machines (trim efficiency)
* Balancing mill backlogs, meet on-time performance goals, and achieve optimal machine utilization (trim efficiency) across the mill system, while minimizing sourcing costs as much as possible
* Providing order status information to Customer Service, and responding to expedited shipment requests and order revisions in a timely manner
* Working with Customer Service, Mill personnel, and Transportation to achieve timely delivery and the lowest possible freight costs
