**Pay Details:** $65,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year

OPPORTUNITY
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical solutions to Hydrite and its customers. This is accomplished by developing new products and providing technical support to project teams, senior members of the Technical Center Group, Sales, Customers, Operations, SQRA, and Procurement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Documents all lab work thoroughly in electronic laboratory notebook.
- Prepares reports and presentations summarizing laboratory work.
- Provides all necessary information for the development of product masters.
- Provides continuous improvement through product and process evaluation.
- Practices safe laboratory techniques.
- Performs all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
- Participates in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
- Investigates formulation solutions and strategies.
- Works with manager to develop products that are aligned with Hydrite's strategy.
- Maintains basic laboratory equipment and instrumentation in good working order.

- Works collaboratively with all members of the Technology Group.

- A Bachelor's or degree or equivalent is required. Preferably in chemistry, technology or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years professional laboratory experience; experience with cleaning products is a plus.
- Must possess problem solving skills, be self-motivated, and initiate continuous improvement.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required. Experience with Minitab, JMP, Design-Expert and electronic lab notebook skills are a plus.
- Required to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically in the pilot lab.
- Required to climb stairs or ladders several times a day.
- Must be able to stand for 4 hours at a time.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Assist in design and development of Nordco's equipment and related components.
+ Use Creo to complete design improvement and corrective action projects.
+ Update product models and drawings for other projects of various difficulties within the Engineering Department.

**What you'll do:**
The NPD Electrical Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting Regulator Business Unit leadership in achieving business and financial goals by participating in new product development and resiliency activities, including developing and maintaining manufacturing automation test systems and supporting ongoing matinenance of line activities at our contract manufacturers. This role will perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, manufacturing processes, production tests, and unique design applications. This role supports product line Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost by establishing robust manufacturing test systems and processes with advanced technologies.
**In this role you will:**
+ Collaborates with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop and maintain automated test systems for Voltage Regulator products, emphasizing Design for Test (DFT), process automation, and system scalability.
+ Supports the full lifecycle of advanced automated test systems, including design development, vendor selection, procurement, and software development (TestStand, LabVIEW) with a focus on structured, maintainable code.
+ Validates new control features, applying statistical methodologies (e.g., Cpk, Ppk, GRR) to ensure functional integration, product quality, and continuous improvement.
+ Leads or contributes to cross-functional root cause and failure analysis efforts to improve yield, eliminate failure modes, and optimize system efficiency.
+ Provides sustaining engineering support to Contract Manufacturers (CMs), including remote/on-site troubleshooting, mentorship, and BOM health management.
+ Ensures manufacturability through error-proofing and compliance with design specifications; supports corrective action implementation and resolves supplier or production issues.
**Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
+ 3-5 years of experience with Design for Test and Manufacturing, PCBA Functional and Assembly Test.
+ Three (3) years of experience with software applications- i.e. Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred), MS Office suite, MiniTab, etc.
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without a company sponsorship now or in the future.

Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the
design, development, and improvement of temperature control systems, including
analyzing performance, troubleshooting, and integrating new technologies. The
ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in SolidWorks/PDM and ERP systems
(Syteline), with the ability to streamline data flow between design and
production. This position requires an individual with strong problem-solving
skills and hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in
the plastic processing or similar industries.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design & Development: Lead the mechanical design and optimization of temperature control units (TCUs), ensuring system performance meets or exceeds operational requirements. This includes the selection and integration of pumps, heat exchangers, and control systems.
+ SolidWorks Expertise: Apply advanced SolidWorks and PDM knowledge to create, modify, and improve detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and parts.
+ BOM & Documentation Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and item data in both SolidWorks and ERP (Syteline). Maintain consistency and troubleshoot discrepancies in system documentation.
+ Engineering Change Management: Manage engineering change requests by coordinating with manufacturing or various other departments to ensure timely and accurate updates in response to design revisions or product improvements.
+ Project & Deadline Management: Effectively balance design work, project deadlines, and technical support for all related departments, including Sales, Manufacturing, Service, and Aftermarket, to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
+ Cross-functional Collaboration: Interface with electrical engineers to integrate PLC control. Provide technical support across departments and actively participate in solving complex engineering and production issues. Engage with Manufacturing and Service teams to ensure smooth execution from design to delivery.
+ Engineering Requests for Quotation: Support Sales and Aftermarket with design and part quotes for new and existing equipment.
+ Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
+ Experience: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering
+ Technical Skills:
+ Proficient in SolidWorks for advanced CAD modeling, assembly creation, and architectural improvements.
+ Understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mechanical systems, particularly within temperature control applications.
+ Experience with ERP systems (Syteline preferred) for BOM management, item creation, and routings.
+ Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes such as assembly, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
+ Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve both design and production challenges efficiently.
+ Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and requests across different teams while maintaining a focus on quality and innovation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
