The Maintenance and Operations Department is seeking a Mechanical Equipment Inspector to support our efforts in elevating the Building Maintenance Department.

• Maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC and related equipment such as chillers, split systems, pumps, boilers, and heaters.
• Perform vibration analysis, nondestructive testing, lubrication, and other maintenance procedures.
• Assist in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate work with contractors and vendors.
• Prepare inspection reports on mechanical and building equipment.
• Perform minor repairs on doors, windows, electrical wiring, and plumbing.
• Conduct general maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Technical/vocational degree with two years of HVAC experience, or high school diploma/GED with four years of HVAC experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EPA Technician CFC/HCFC and HFC Universal certification, or certification within six months of hire.

• Knowledge of equipment installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Experience with large chiller systems.
• Understanding of building and mechanical trades.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Capability to access confined spaces.
