Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Cell Culture Media Development Intern, located in Malvern, PA.
**Research & Development Co-op Overview:**
J&J R&D encompasses the development of sophisticated materials, process improvements, risk management and mechanical testing through the development process across all sectors including Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Consumer and Corporate/Enterprise.

**Life as an R&D Co-op:**
The R&D Co-op program provides each student with real-life hands-on experience, coaching and mentoring, networking opportunities, as well as the opportunity to meet people from various schools throughout the country. Each Co-op will be assigned to a single function with a specific project for the 6-month term, and an internship will be for a 3-month term.
The typical internship term is from Jan 2026- April 2026.
**Key Responsibilities:**
The TDS Protein Development API organization is seeking a candidate interested in protein process development. Bioreactors utilize liquid media to generate protein molecules in the production process. In this role, the intern will.
+ Focus on high titer media hold studies that will help close the gap between small scale development and large scale operations, specifically by confirming the stability of high titer media in a bioreactor at room temperature for a determined amount of time.
+ Analyze and interpret experimental results using analytical and statistical techniques. Actively participate in weekly meetings with internal and external collaborators.
+ Participate in technical discussions on design of experiments to fill gaps in knowledge.
+ Maintain a laboratory notebook and other technical documents according to required guidelines.
+ Provide other project support as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Education:**
+ Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, and related majors are preferred.
+ Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's, or PhD degree or equivalent experience. For students pursuing their Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Juniors or Seniors are preferred.
+ Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
+ Completion of Undergraduate Freshmen year at an accredited University is required.

+ Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., FI, H1-B status)
+ Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred
+ Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while performing results
+ Must be a self-starter works independently while supplying to the team goals
+ Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired
**Preferred:**
+ Students with basic laboratory skills and experience in research, experimental design & execution, and data analysis
+ Students with prior experience in aseptic cell culture, bioreactor operations, or any other lab experience

From assisting in video shoots, managing digital assets, to polishing the final edits, you'll help bring powerful stories to life that truly make a difference.
In this part-time role, you'll collaborate with a passionate creative team while gaining hands-on experience across all phases of pre-production, production, and post. What you'll do:
- Assist with planning and scheduling shoots, coordinating with staff, patients, and families with professionalism and sensitivity
- Prep, transport, set up, and tear down video, lighting, and audio equipment
- Operate cameras, lights, and sound gear under supervision
- Edit content using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other tools (basic color correction, audio clean-up, transitions, etc.)
- Organize, tag, and archive raw media and final video assets
- Support content creation for social media, web, and internal communications
- Ensure all releases and documentation are completed and compliant
- Provide administrative and logistical support (budgets, scheduling, supplies, inventory)
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy policies when working in healthcare settings
What you'll bring:
- A degree in Video Production, Film, Multimedia, or equivalent experience
- Previous hands-on video production experience and digital asset management
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and basic production gear
- Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail
- Collaborative, flexible, and professional approach
- Comfort working in healthcare/hospice settings with sensitivity
- Valid driver's license and ability to lift/carry video gear
Work Setup
This is a temp hybrid (2/1) opportunity through mid-December in the Pembroke Pines, FL area. Working 2 days in the office and 1 day WFH. 100% REMOTE work is not available.
