**JOB SUMMARY**
As a Sales Lead, you will execute Marriott's go-to-market and sales strategy for MARRIOTT MEDIA. Focused on driving sales and achieving annual targets, you will serve as the main point of contact for key client relationships while ensuring alignment with broader enterprise goals. You will work cross functionally with partnerships, product, and technology teams to help define new and innovative solutions to drive sales for the MARRIOTT MEDIA business. You'll set the stage for strong sales performance by working across various areas of the company to effectively negotiate and close deals to bring sales to market.
This role requires a strategic, consultative, business development approach that is grounded in entrepreneurial sales experience. You demonstrate the ability to work in fast-paced environments, can operate with efficiency, and have strong communication skills that translate into campaign results and media sales. You are naturally curious and stay current on the MarTech/AdTech ecosystem, digital marketing, and media network landscape.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience Required**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field
- Four or more years of experience in digital media and/or retail/commerce media with a background in account management or sales.
- Experience in client sales or account management at a digital media agency or digital media vendor.
- Demonstrated success running partnership programs.
- Demonstrated experience building sales success & relationships among new & existing customers.
- Proven success in running sophisticated business processes across multiple internal teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with display, search, and social advertising, with a strong understanding of digital media buying priorities.
- Clear understanding of advertising partner priorities when buying digital media across advertising channels.

**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
**Primary Activities**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for advertising partners, managing relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration for MARRIOTT MEDIA.
- Own revenue targets by driving incremental media campaign spend.
- Drive upsell by introducing new products and benefits (e.g., beta testing) to advertising partners in book of business.
- Develop test-and-learn media proposals to drive incremental advertising partner spend for MARRIOTT MEDIA.
- Collaborate with Marriott's Enterprise Partnerships team throughout annual / quarterly planning process.
- Escalate advertising partner requests & process improvement opportunities to Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
**Managing Responsibilities with Stakeholders**
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the organization. Foster a positive climate to build effective teams that are committed to organizational goals and initiatives.
- Update stakeholders on key initiative wins and opportunities, respond to concerns, and solicit feedback. Engage leadership to develop and execute action plans to address gaps.

**Managing Profitability**
- Work with teams to develop an operational strategy that is aligned with the brand's business strategy and leads its execution.

This position can be hybrid in Bethesda, Maryland or New York City, New York.
**Maryland Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $106,000 to $43,000 annually.
**New York Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is 116,000 to 158,000 annually.

**Responsibilities**
+ Understand, build, and manage relationships with key executive decision makers and budget holders across agency buyer landscape, at executive and operational levels.
+ Drive immediate and sustained business growth by personally identifying and closing high-value deals with key agency and brand partners, setting the standard for team performance.
+ Own and accountable for achieving a significant portion of the team's annual business goals, leveraging deep agency relationships to unlock new budget allocation and guarantee pipeline conversion.
+ Lead a high-performing Agency sales team that uses consultative media sales skills to understand customer' needs and deliver actionable solutions.
+ Own and enforce accountability for sales team activity, progress, and pipeline hygiene by conducting regular one-on-one reviews, analyzing key metrics, and ensuring accurate forecasting.

**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
+ Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
+ Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
+ Experience managing people or teams.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ JD, MBA, or Master's degree.
+ 3 years of experience managing people or teams.
+ Experience escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
