- Assists the physician in providing comprehensive medical care to targeted patient population in the ambulatory clinic setting by:

- Documents all care given and actions taken on behalf of the patient in KP HealthConnect.
- Facilitates smooth and efficient operation of the clinical department by monitoring the flow of patients and intervening as appropriate to minimize wait times and promote a positive experience for the patient.
- Assists with inventory and requisition of required supplies; keeps exam and procedure rooms adequately stocked at all times.
- Engages in positive interactions with Kaiser Permanente members, visitors and fellow staff members at all times.
- Monitor and manage refrigerated medications under the supervision of the practicing physician.
- Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
- Administers medications per KP policy and using the 5 rights of medication administration.
- Performs basic diagnostic and laboratory tests and specimen collection per KP policy and CLIA regulations.
- Assist with routine patient education and self-care instructions as directed by providers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Primary Duties:
- Assists providers with patient exams, procedures, education, and maintains smooth clinical workflows amid fluctuating patient volumes.

Job Summary
Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Interview, hire and train Medical Assistant staff
