As a Medical Assistant Med Office Rep at Dignity Health Medical Foundation clinics, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. **Some of your daily activities will include:**
+ Assisting in preparing patients for examinations or procedures, assisting with procedures, relaying instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person, and collecting patient data
+ Administering medications specifically directed by the physician and performing accurate vital sign measurements and documentation.
+ Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment, and performing patient care services that support the physician / provider's practice under the clinical supervision of the Physician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant, or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
+ Comfortable managing medical records- charts and EMR
+ Communicate and document any patient concerns to physicians, physician's assistants, or nurses
+ Work with physicians, insurance providers, and pharmacies to obtain authorizations for patient medication, including refills

+ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills required

Job Description
**Position Summary:**
The registered nurse is responsible to take primary responsibility to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care of each assigned patient. Provide direct patient care. Supervise the activities of nursing staff members. Anticipate patients needs. Follow-up on all care related activities and assure all physician orders are accurately transcribed and carried out in a timely manner. Coordinate the plan of care. Conduct patient teaching specific to disease entity and home management. Actively participate in assuring care continuum. Collaborate with other nursing and ancillary services to assure seamless communication and uninterrupted patient care. Model leadership behaviors. Foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork. Mentor peers and colleagues.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Current RN license to practice Registered Nursing in the State of California
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Life Support (ACLS)
+ Chemotherapy Provider Card within 90 days of hire
+ Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
RN Residents must obtain the following certifications (ACLS) within 10 weeks of hire and Chemo provider card with 6 months.
