Position in this function is working to assist providers in providing health care at our clinic locations. The Medical Assistant serves the patient and the provider by gathering and maintaining the necessary medical information in a cheerful, friendly, personable manner; providing quality patient care and helping to establish rapport between the physician and patient.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Prepares patients for examination and treatment and documents chief complaints
+ Obtains patient histories and vital signs and records accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
+ Assists with patient exams, procedures and collection of specimens as assigned
+ Retrieves laboratory and radiology test results and instructs patients regarding medications and treatment per physician's instructions
+ Understands and interprets current immunization schedule. Administers injections safely
+ Stocks supplies and prepares exam rooms and instruments for examinations, testing or minor surgeries
+ Responds to incoming phone calls and refers if necessary. Calls patients as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments

**Required Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ MA Certification from the AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT required, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire
+ Healthcare provider level CPR/BLS certification required, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
+ Experience with electronic medical record systems
The hourly range for this role is $6.88 to 33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. NaphCare is partnering with Everhealth to hire a Medical Director to join our team of medical professionals in the Clackamas County Jail in Oregon City, Oregon. Pay rates range from $117.00- $123.50 per hour based on type of license, certification, shift, site needs, licensure, and experience.
As a Correctional Medical Director , you will be responsible for ensuring all clinical needs are being met within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals.
ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Director is responsible for providing direct and indirect basic medical care to meet the physiological and emotional needs of the patients and ensuring quality care is provided to protect the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
- Conducting rounds in the medical and infirmary units
- Performing sick call visits, and managing chronic care
- Responding to and initiating care for medical emergencies
- Leading efforts to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services
- Coordinating, leading and participating in educational and training activities
- May supervise Staff Physicians and other medical staff
- Ensuring compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations, including court mandates and standards
- Collaborating on with other medical professionals to ensure staff are responsive to patients' needs
Qualifications
Education / Licenses / Certifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Valid license as a physician in the state where the facility is located
- CPR certification
- Possess a current DEA registration
- Currently certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties
Experience / Requirements / Qualifications / Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience in general medicine, a strong knowledge of current medical principles and practices, and the ability to manage and direct medical team
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Display integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
Physical Capabilities:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
