As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Clermont, FL . The scheduled hours are Monday - Friday 7a - 4p, some rotating Saturdays 9a-1p .

What You’ll Do
- Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
- Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
- Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
- Performs other duties as assigned
- What You’ll Bring
- National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Seeking a Medical Assistant for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What will do in this role:
+ You will prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
+ You will prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization

+ You will assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals

What Qualifications you will need:
+ Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification
+ Candidates with one year of Medical work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within one year of hire date
+ Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within60 days of employment
+ Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred
+ Certified Medical Assistant, or NHA Cert Clinical Medical Assistant, or NAHP Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant, or AMT Registered Medical Assistant, or ABR-OE Assess Based Rec in Order Entry must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
