What would you do? - The Specifics
+ Ensures high quality patient care.
+ Maintains a professional atmosphere and appearance of doctor's office and pretest room.
+ Understands ocular terminology and diseases and knows the ocular abbreviations.
+ Explains to the patient the types of preliminary examinations.
+ Completes necessary paperwork and performs testing on patients prior to doctor examination.

The hourly range for this role is $6.00 to 28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. * Demonstrates effective and safe clinical practice as evidenced by Skills Fair demonstration, completion of yearly Competency Assessment, and Age Specific Checklist.
* Coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care based on current evidence based practice.
* Documents all nursing care, change in condition, response to therapy, treatments, procedures and referrals on patient record to meet standards.

Work Experience
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
* Education:
* Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
* BSN required.
* Licensure: Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
* Certification:
* Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
* Certification(s) as required by specific unit.
* Experience: Must meet unit specific care requirements.
* Language: Must be able to speak/understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.
* Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
* Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
* Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift.
* Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift.
* Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste, and known or unknown diseases.
