Position Summary:
Performs clinical testing in assigned areas of the laboratory to aid in the diagnosis of disease, estimation of patient status, and determination of lifestyle and genetic effects on health. Specializes and/or assumes responsibility for a specific section of the laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in another discipline with documented chemistry and biology hours that satisfy CLIA requirements for high complexity testing personnel OR

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science OR

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physical, Biological Science OR

Have previously qualified or could have qualified as a technologist under ;

On or before April 24, 1995 be a high school graduate or equivalent and have either

Graduated from a medical laboratory or clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by ABHES, CAHEA, or other organizations approved by HHS OR

Successfully completed an official U.S. Military Medical Laboratory procedures training course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician)

Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification by ASCP or AMT, or HEW (MT) or equivalent certification is required within one year from date of hire. Training/Certification prior to 1988 - Certification program or Military training, ASCP or HEW certification is accepted
