If hired, successful completion of in-house competency-based orientation program within 90 days of employment. Recent graduate from a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces or its equivalent during U.S. military services within the past five years or Prior experience in one of the following roles: Paramedic, EMT, or CNA
**Preferred:** Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nursing Program (LPN).
**Credentials/Licensure/Certifications**
**Minimum:** BCLS / CPR certification
**Preferred:** Medical Assistant Certification, CMA or RMA, or NRCMA
Paramedic License
Licensed Practical Nurses- are preferred in some practices based on the nature of the work.
**Related Experience**

Works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in a clinic or practice environment. This team member is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience, including clinical duties such as room set up and patient preparation, performing office tests, taking vitals, collecting specimens, drawing blood, and giving injections, and immunizations. Cleans and sterilizes equipment. Charts patient interactions (e.g., chief complaint, medical history, medications, vital statistics, test results, etc.) in the patient's medical record (EMR/paper). Typically, responsible for some administrative duties including checking patients in and out, scheduling referrals and follow-ups, obtaining signatures, taking phone calls, and providing lab results. May perform limited special procedures and treatments as trained and directed **.**

**What you will need:**
**Education**
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program of study through an accredited medical assistant program that includes class work, medical terminology coursework, and clinical instruction or 2 or more years of current, clinically relevant work experience in a physician office or clinic setting. If hired, successful completion of in-house competency-based orientation program within 90 days of employment. Recent graduate from a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces or its equivalent during U.S. military services within the past five years or Prior experience in one of the following roles: Paramedic, EMT.
Preferred: Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nursing Program (LPN).
**Credentials/Licensure/Certifications**
Minimum: BCLS / CPR certification
Preferred: Medical Assistant Certification, CMA or RMA, or NRCMA
Paramedic License
Licensed Practical Nurses- are preferred in some practices based on the nature of the work.
**Related Experience**
Minimum: Graduate of an MA Clinical Training program or externship program. Knowledge of medical terminology, basic business office skills, clinical skills, and computer skills.
Preferred: Three+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
