We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties to support healthcare providers and ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Interaction: - Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take patient histories and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, weight).
- Prepare patients for examination, including preparing exam rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures.
- Educate patients on preparation for procedures, treatments, and medications as directed by healthcare providers.
Clinical Procedures & Assistance: - Perform routine clinical tasks such as administering injections, vaccinations, and taking blood samples (phlebotomy).
- Prepare and assist with minor office-based procedures (e.g., wound care, suturing, removing staples).
- Sterilize and prepare medical instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
- Conduct and prepare laboratory tests as directed by providers (e.g., urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring).
- Provide support in monitoring patients' responses to treatments and assist in follow-up care as needed.
Medical Documentation: - Accurately document patient interactions, vital signs, lab results, and clinical procedures in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure patient records are updated with test results, referrals, and follow-up instructions.
- Assist in preparing patient charts and ensuring accurate coding for billing purposes.
Infection Control & Safety: - Follow established protocols for infection control, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist in maintaining medical equipment and supplies inventory.
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a safe work environment.
Collaboration & Communication: - Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, instructions, and test results in a clear and professional manner.
- Assist with administrative tasks when necessary, including scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and providing insurance forms.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Technical proficiency, especially in clinical settings.
- Bilingual in Chinese or Korean preferred.

Qualifications:
* Bilingual English Korean preferred.
* Completion of a NYS accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
