- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on medical procedures, equipment, and office protocols.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or equivalent experience).
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred (e.g., through AAMA, AMT, or NCCT).
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures.

Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follows up to ensure completion of testing.
Communicate with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician.
Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment; keep patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly; dispose of contaminated items according to protocol.
Document patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider.
Escalate non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).
Ensure safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required.
Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
Perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, MA Lead or as requested by healthcare provider(s)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Prepares patient for ultrasound procedure by accurately assessing patient's needs and providing patient education.
- Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
- Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information and images.

- Required to be current in BLS (Basic Life Support) by the standards of the American Heart Association.
- Required to show proof of having completed Mandatory Reporter course at time of hire or attend within 6 months of start date.
