Requirements
Essential Functions:
- Interview patients and record patient information.
- Check vital signs and reconcile medications and drug allergies.
- Collect and test urine samples.
- Order lab supplies and stock and clean rooms.
- Complete medical forms for patients.
- Ensure all required written and computer documentation, forms and patient medical records are completed in a timely manner.
- Administer injections.
- Clean Autoclave and sterilize and package instruments.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Knowledge of clinical techniques.
- Ability to function effectively as a team member.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with physicians, staff and management.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year clinical or medical office experience preferred but not required
- Certified Medical Assistant or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is looking for BC/BE General Anesthesiologists to join the cohesive and committed team at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. This 292 bed community hospital has been providing high quality, compassionate care for over 100 years to Greater Richmond and surrounding communities.
Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates:
MD or DO licensure from an accredited institution and ABA board eligibility/certification required.
Must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license and DEA from the state of Virginia prior to employment.
Care Team Model of 6 General Anesthesiologists and 19 CRNAs covering an average of 20 sites of service.
Diverse mix of cases including Bread & Butter, Complex Neuro/Spine, OB, GYN, General, heavy orthopedics, Robotics and GI.
Annual surgical volume 17,000 cases.
Must be proficient in Regional Anesthesia.
Average work week 45-50 hours in house.
Call shifts are split equally amongst the team:
First Call: in-house from 6p-7a on weekdays and 7a-7a on Weekends and weekday holidays. Post call day off.
Second Call- Back-up call from home, 6p-7a on weekdays and 7a-7a on weekends and weekday holidays. First out.
Calls picked up beyond contracted numbers garner additional compensation.
Incentive/Benefits Package:
W2, salaried opportunity with very competitive compensation.
