Perform a variety of specialized technical tasks utilizing high frequency ultrasound waves to assist with the detection of anatomical abnormalities.Perform ultrasounds and all essential duties listed on the job description. ARDMS certification in physics plus one modality, and two specialty areas (abdomen, cardiac, maternal fetal medicine, nuchal translucency, vascular, or OBGYN).
Responsibilities
• Perform all the duties and responsibilities of Level II. • Perform a variety of complex specialized tasks utilizing ultrasonic high frequency sound waves to detect abnormalities including masses, abscesses, and stones. • Assist physicians with biopsy procedures, guiding biopsy instrument using sonographic techniques. Perform ultrasound procedures, doppler vascular examinations, abdominal studies and color-flow ultrasound, OBGYN procedures as required. • Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures to patients. Report changes in patient condition to medical staff. Provide an oral and written summary of preliminary findings to the radiologist. • Evaluate quality of sonograms. Determine if additional sonograms or ultrasound procedures are indicated. Maintain patient records in division. • Charge procedures and supplies. • Archive and de-archive ultrasound data. • Orient new ultrasonographers; provide education and training to new sonographers. • Coordinate scheduling and patient flow. • Collaborate in quality control of equipment and filming and obtains service as required. Proficient in the performance of ultrasound procedures. Provide direction and instruction to existing personnel and training to new sonographers. • Assist in teaching of ultrasound technology to new physicians, residents, and fellows. • Assist the medical staff in development of new ultrasound techniques and protocols. • Participate in ultrasound research practices within radiology and with other hospital disciplines (medicine, surgery departments). • Act in a team leader or leadership capacity on an as needed basis. • Ensure correct charging of ultrasound procedures and supplies on a daily basis. • Perform other related duties incidental to the work therein.

Testing modalities include Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing. On-Call is required.
**Essential Job Functions**
+ Performs high quality diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart during Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing examinations and adheres to exam protocols except when deviation is clinically necessary.
+ Prepares patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure and providing instructions in order to obtain the desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize patient anxiety.
+ Administers imaging enhancement agents in accordance with department policies.
+ Contacts referring physician (or other appropriate medical personnel) for clarification prior to performing an exam if there is a suspicion that the exam order is incorrect.
+ Utilizes the hospital electronic medical record to review patient information, enter preliminary reporting, and document any critical findings in accordance with department policy.
+ Completes assigned tasks in a time frame appropriate for the situation.
+ Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Mission and Values of organization and adheres to the standards and policies set forth by the corporate responsibility program, including the duty to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and reporting to Manager (or Corporate Responsibility line) any suspected unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful acts of practice.

**Compensation:** Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay is $16.49 plus tips
**Work Schedule:** The work schedule for this position is Full Time night shift M-F 12:30p to 9pm and T-S 12:30pm 9pm but sat, 9:30am to 6pm
