The Licensed Practical Nurse provides care utilizing the MS Nurse Practice Act, the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control, and Singing River Hosptial System Departments of Nursing Plan for Provision of Care, Treatment and Services. As such, this performance evaluation is based on these standards.

This individual must be forthcoming, honest and cooperative in departmental matters involving self or others, and must promote the hospital's mission of "world class healthcare and wellness" and understands that the SRHS Corporate Compliance Program places the burden of proof on the provider to show that there was no intent to commit fraud.

Position Primary Purpose:

The Medical Clinic Manager is an administrative position responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations at the medical clinic, ensuring efficient patient flow, regulatory compliance, and high-quality care within a Federally Qualified Health Center setting. This role integrates clinical, operational, fiscal, and quality improvement functions by managing staff, provider schedules, and resources; maintaining compliance with HRSA, PCPCH, and other federal and state requirements; and optimizing use of the electronic health record and practice management systems. The position ensures exceptional patient service, sound fiscal management, and effective coordination with internal teams and external partners, fostering a safe, welcoming, and productive clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinic Operations

Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth patient flow from arrival to departure.

Maintain compliance with clinic protocols, federal/state regulations, and agency policies.

Manage provider schedules, staff assignments, and clinic resources.

Ensure timely and accurate EHR documentation and workflow management.

Conduct morning huddle meetings and attend/facilitate staff meetings.

Staff Management

Supervise clinic staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, evaluations, and conflict resolution.

Foster a positive team environment and support professional development.

Quality & Compliance

Oversee CQMs, develop and implement workflows, provide staff training, and prepare required reports (UDS, internal quality reports).

Ensure ongoing compliance with HRSA, PCPCH, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.

Patient Experience

Promote a safe, welcoming clinic environment with excellent customer service.

Address patient complaints and act as liaison with health plans and other partners.

Fiscal Management

Collaborate on clinic budget development and management.

Monitor monthly variances, control costs, and optimize revenue opportunities.

Coordination & Communication

Facilitate effective communication across internal departments and external partners.

Disseminate updates on policy, procedure, and protocol changes.

Attend management, staff, and quality assurance meetings.

All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Education:

4+ years' experience of medical management in healthcare or FQHC setting.

2+ years' supervisory or leadership experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge of primary care clinic operations.

Expertise in health information management and healthcare revenue cycle management.

Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and use data for decision making.

Ability to write clear, concise narrative and statistical reports, effective communication skills, and ability to present reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current RN licensure

Bachelor's degree in health administration, business, non-profit management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) compliance requirements, including clinical quality measures (CQMs), Uniform Data Systems (UDS), patient-centered primary care home (PCPCH), and 340B pharmacy program; HIPAA; Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.

Expertise in management and configuration of electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management (PM), specifically eClinicalWorks.

Experience in trauma-informed systems and/or working with underserved populations.

Compensation: This is a non-union, salaried position, pay is DOE and paid out bi-weekly.
