# Project Overview:
Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States by far enough to power 1 million electric vehicles per year. As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, Bechtel is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team contractors engineering and building the facility. We are also managing procurement of about 1 Billion in goods and services. Earth work began in 2023 and design and procurement of long-lead equipment is underway. The project is located in the high desert and wide-open spaces of north-central Nevada about 25 miles from the Oregon border, 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada and 3 hours northeast of Reno. Planned with sustainability and the environment in mind, the facility will use its excess process heat to generate electricity and will recycle process water up to seven times. Once the second phase of the project is complete, Thacker Pass will produce more than 16 times the current U.S. output of lithium. # Job Summary:
In this role, you will participate in the execution of the occupational health plan, as well as in the implementation of the occupational health and safety management system in an office, and perform tasks directly related to the occupational health area according to current regulations. Report to the ES&H (Environmental Safety and Health) Manager or Personnel Services Manager in the performance of the function for the benefit of the project, including construction, maintenance and operations project. #LI-NP1
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Lead, supervise, and manage the occupational health service in compliance with current regulations.
+ Develop and oversee medical protocols for occupational evaluations (admission, periodic, exit).
+ Supervise the proper conduct of occupational medical examinations and provide support to the company.
+ Monitor workers' health through pre-occupational, annual, functional change, and retirement exams to detect early occupational diseases or health conditions.
+ Conduct medical audits of clinics as needed.
+ Promote general health and well-being among workers.
+ Review medical reports of personnel with health issues (work-related or external) and issue necessary medical restrictions.
+ Advise the organization on health-related training and deliver educational activities (trainings, talks, bulletins) in office and project settings.
+ Coordinate with external health entities in collaboration with Occupational Safety and Health Management.
+ Provide medical expertise in implementing and administering preventative medicine programs.
+ Analyze and evaluate clinical methods and procedures, recommending improvements.

+ Monitor patient recovery and rehabilitation.

# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires a Medical degree, 15+ years of relevant experience in occupational health and/or emergency medicine, and a valid license to practice medicine where assigned

JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Coordinator of Recuperative Care will oversee and coordinate medical services provided to clients in a recuperative care setting for individuals experiencing homelessness. This role ensures that clients receive comprehensive, high-quality care tailored to their unique medical and social needs. The Medical Coordinator serves as a key liaison between healthcare providers, case management teams, and community resources, fostering a holistic approach to recovery and wellness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Medical Oversight and Coordination
Facilitate medical intake for newly admitted clients in collaboration with referral coordinator.
Schedule and coordinate medical appointments, transportation, and follow-up care for clients.
Ensure proper documentation of medical services, including health histories, treatment plans, and medication reconciliation in EMR.
Supervise MA with daily medication administration, provide on the spot education to optimize clients compliance. Facility daily MAR entry.
Monitor clients' progress and address any barriers to achieving care goals.
Client Advocacy and Support
Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding their medical concerns and needs.
Educate clients on managing chronic conditions, medication adherence, and preventive care.
Facilitate communication between clients and healthcare providers to enhance understanding and engagement.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with case managers, behavioral health teams, and other staff to ensure integrated care delivery.
Maintain relationships with local clinics, hospitals, and specialists to streamline referrals and transitions of care.
Participate in daily huddle and weekly IDT team, monthly MDT meetings and contribute to the development of care protocols and policies.
Administrative and Compliance
Ensure compliance with facility policies, healthcare regulations, and confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA).

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience

+ Support foster parents by providing education on medical policies, answering questions related to the children's medical care, assisting them with required medical responsibilities, and supplying them with necessary authorization and ID documents for medical services.
+ Collect forms and health records from medical providers, ensuring they are thoroughly completed and scanned/uploaded into the appropriate portals and health record systems.
+ Complete and submit all assigned documentation within the required timeframe, including placement documents, assessments, medical packages, COVID-19 checklists, medication and temperature logs, medical summary forms, medical checklists, and more. Upload documents to the appropriate portals and health record systems and ensure physical health files and records are properly filed in a secure location, in compliance with health record confidentiality requirements.
+ Regularly communicate with the children's care teams and strive to meet continuous quality improvement measures related to medical records and the timelines for uploads.
+ Maintain medicine cabinets and first aid kits by ensuring they are stocked with in date over the counter (OTC) medications, first aid supplies, rapid antigen COVID-19 tests, and other essential medical items to promote the health and safety of the children in care.
+ Provide in-service training and ongoing education to staff and foster parents on the health-related needs of children, five rights of medication administration, COVID-19 testing, CPR, and First Aid.
+ Maintain Red Cross CPR/First Aid Trainer's Certifications
+ Assist and support Program Leadership during auditing processes.
+ Performs other duties as requested.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS **
+ Highschool Diploma or bachelor's degree.
+ One (1) year of experience working in a medical, dental, or mental health office.
+ One (1) year of experience working in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
+ Must be able to maintain compliance with attending agency required training programs.
+ Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish). Fluency in Spanish is required.
+ Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 bodily liability coverage.
+ 21 years of age, a valid state driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle, and a good driving record.
**OTHER SKILLS **
+ Experience scheduling medical appointments.
+ Experience documenting medical appointments.
+ Recognizes and understands the needs of the immigrant population, providing support and creating a safe environment for the children in the program.
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain liaisons with community health providers and expand community health network.

The Medical Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by facilitating communication and coordination between healthcare providers, clients, and in collaboration with Clinical Care Director. The Medical Care Coordinator( is responsible for organizing, implementing, and monitoring healthcare plans to optimize patient outcomes under the direct supervision of the Clinical Care Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Liaison:
- · Serve as one of the primary points of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing information, and offering support throughout the healthcare process.
- Observe clients health status and take actions to address concerns within scope of practice.
- Facilitate effective communication between supervisor, clients, healthcare providers and other relevant parties.
· Monitor associates and Supervision with self-administration of prescribed mediation, including frequent audits of medication records.
2. Client Advocacy:
· Advocate for clients to ensure they have access to appropriate shelter and support services.
- Work with community resources to address immediate needs such as food, clothing, and medical care as directed.
· Respond to crises and emergencies, providing immediate support and connecting clients with appropriate resources as directed.
3. Care Plan Development:
· Evaluate resident care needs and determine required level of care upon admission and changes in condition as directed and in coordination with Clinical Care Director.

· Ensure that care plans are comprehensive, realistic, and aligned with the patient's overall health objectives.
4. Appointment Scheduling:
· Assist with and Coordination and scheduling medical appointments, tests, and procedures for patients in collaboration with healthcare providers and medical facilities.
· Assist with, Monitor and manage appointment reminders to promote adherence to the care plan.
5. Healthcare Resource Coordination:
· Assist clients in accessing necessary healthcare resources, including medications, medical equipment, and support services.
· Collaborate with external agencies, healthcare providers, pharmacies, insurance providers and community organizations to streamline access to additional services and healthcare resources as directed.
6. Documentation and Record Keeping:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, care plans, and communication with healthcare providers.
· Upload vital documentation into the electronic medical records as appropriate.
· Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards in all documentation.
7. Insurance Coordination:
· Work with insurance companies to verify coverage, obtain authorizations, and address any billing or claims issues under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Care Director
· Educate clients on their insurance coverage and assist in resolving insurance related concerns as appropriate.
8. Patient Education:
· Provide patients with information about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies under the direction and direct supervision of the facility Clinical Care Director
9. Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
· Work closely with case managers, social workers, and other internal departments to ensure a coordinated and supportive environment for clients under instruction from facility Clinical Care Director.

· Assist in the development, coordination and orientation of new department personnel.

11. Qualifications:
· Current unencumbered License in the state of California required.
· Previous experience in healthcare coordination, case management, or a related role highly desired.
· Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and insurance processes highly desired.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
