+ Diagnose and repair Healthcare electronic devices at the Service Center.
+ Troubleshoot, clean, and repair customer devices to ensure optimal performance.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low risk biomedical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems with assistance under direct supervision. Additional responsibilities may include inventory control.

1. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance, safety inspections and testing on a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical equipment instrumentation, devices and systems using specialized test equipment, tools, simulation devices and phantoms.
2. Identifies, diagnoses, and implements minor repairs associated with equipment malfunctions on general low-end risk medical devices and equipment.
3. Assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment.
4. Documents all work performed, maintains parts, supplies, tools, test equipment and technical literature by completing service reports and supplemental productivity documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains an accurate and current inventory of tools and test equipment.
5. Provides customer relations and resolves equipment service problems by ensuring that clinical capability is restored as quickly as possible. Maintains communication with customers regarding the status of equipment repairs.
6. Assists with testing and calibrating equipment in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and/or other established guidelines.
7. Services several departments in multiple facilities: regionally and system wide to internal and external customers (including physicians, nurses, other hospital and HMO personnel, veterinary clinics, surgi-centers, walk-in customers, etc.) Takes direction from senior level Technicians or the Technical Services Site Leader.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
Understanding of the electromechanical principles and electronic devices.
Knowledge of the application and use of PC's.

Job Description
**Position Description:**
Our Field Service Technician position provides a unique opportunity to employ your technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and participating in technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will be responsible for assisting Field Service Technicians with replacing parts, troubleshooting, repairing, and updating medical devices in a hospital setting with the support of an on-site team. **This is a 100% On Demand project based position.** **Regional, National and local Travel Expected**
**Responsibilities** :
· Assist field service staff with organizing, testing, updating medical devices, installing/configuring hardware, software, and network products
· Manually move and carry medical equipment and un-box medical devices from shipping or storage containers
· Set-up and organization of equipment and workstations
· Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration
· Full-time commitment requiring travel
· Assignment-based schedule with 40 hours commitment per week. Travel nationally to support customer needs.
· Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.
· Provide on-the-job training (OTJ) for new hires.
· Complete other duties at the discretion of management
**Requirements:**
· Minimum of 1-2 years of technical experience in a hospital setting preferred. Other Field Technician experience in healthcare setting will be considered.
· An active and unrestricted driver license is required for this position
· Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating system
· Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices
· Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
· Assignment-based schedule with 40+ hours commitment per week when in the field on an assignment
· Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status
**Preferred Experience:**
· Hardware - Replacing Bezels, key pads, buttons, batteries, etc.
· Software - Calibrations, networking, software updates, etc.
· Set-up and organize the equipment and workstations.
· Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration.
