Williams Consulting LLC is seeking experiencedPart-Time, Contractual (1099), Virtual, Bi-lingual Board Certified Physicians needed to virtually support the Social Security Administration Disability appeal process in Puerto-Rico. These Medical Experts (MEs) will provide expert witness services for the SSA Hearings and Operations (OHO), in the support of the federal Social Security Administration (SSA) disability claims. MEs will provide both factual evidence and expert opinion based on clinical knowledge and expertise at hearings before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examines the material facts of a medical-related case, such as a claimants medical records and witness testimony.
- Prepares written statements, creates models, prepares written reports, and provides medical expert testimony before the court.
- Breaks down the technicalities, scientific terminology, and medical complexities in a case, so that anyone without medical training can understand the key aspects of the case.
- Provides independent assistance to the court by way of objective unbiased opinion in relation to matters based on medical knowledge and expertise.
- Provides evidence by answering questions posed by the ALJ, the claimant, and the claimants representative.
- Provides medical opinion about the nature and severity of a claimants impairment(s).
- Testifies via telephone or by video teleconferencing (VTC) technology.
- Responds to interrogatories.
- Cites specific evidence from the record to support testimony.
- Reviews and understands medical records that are written in Spanish and English.
- Provides testimony and written responses in fluent Spanish as well as in English.
Requirements and Experience:
- Must possess the appropriate medical/ clinical credential.
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible professional including but not limited to an MD or DO with active U.S. or Puerto Rico Medical License. Board Certification is required. We are currently seeking professionals in the following specialties: Cardiology; Nephrology; Oncology; Ophthalmology; Orthopedic Surgery; Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Gastroenterology and Rheumatology.
- Must possess fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Experience working virtually and must have a secure internet access.
- Ability to organize work priorities effectively and complete assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills.
- Previous experience working as a SSA Medical Expert a plus.
- Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
Working Conditions and Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Standing, sitting, squatting, and other normal office-related physical activities are required. Must be able to sit and read computer screens for extended periods.

The salary range for this position is: $255,425.00 - $330,550.00.
