SUMMARY : Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain exam rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the Health System. Responsible for sustaining a sterile environment in all areas of a primary care setting by performing the sanitized at a level compatible with local, state and federal health codes and regulations.MUST HAVE PRIOR MEDICAL FACILITY CLEANING EXPERIENCE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, patient's exam rooms of trash and front desk office area of trash.
  • Sweeps and mops floor.
  • Using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, housekeepers wipe equipment, clean furniture, polish floors and vacuum carpets.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture as needed.
  • Dusts furniture.
  • Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork as needed.
  • Washes windows including Front Desk Area, door panels and sills.
  • Empties all wastebaskets.
  • Transports trash and waste disposal from the area to appropriate outside waste containers.
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies.
  • Pick up any trash in parking lot or immediate area.
  • Clean and maintain front and rear porches of facilities including windows, ash trays, trash cans, and walk ways.
  • Complete weekly environment cleaning task checklist and submit to Director of Operations.
  • Keeping informed of current and proposed regulations related to sanitation of the corporation.
  • Other reasonable duties as required by the DOO, CEO or designee.

Medical Facility Surveyor

Full-time and casual part-time openings. All positions are remote. Relocation is not necessary. At Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS), we devote our knowledge, skill, and experience to transforming and improving the quality of care for those we serve. The Medical Facility Surveyor will conduct surveys of long-term care (LTC) and/or non-LTC (NLTC or ACC) programs throughout the United States and the Territories. Non-LTC (NLTC or ACC) programs include Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Critical Access Hospital, Acute Care Hospital, End Stage Renal Disease, Home Health and Hospice. The Surveyor will communicate their survey findings through the approved Quality Assurance process. The Surveyor will identify opportunities for improvement in the survey process and will effectively communicate said opportunities to the appropriate leadership staff. The Surveyor should be willing to accept survey assignments as needed and as directed by CMS and HMS.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site surveys consisting of Initial, Recertification, Revisit (and/or Desk Audit), Complaint, Focus, and Pilot surveys in accordance with the State Operations Manual
  • Complete deficiency reports in accordance with the Principles of Documentation and the HMS Master Writing Guide while maintaining deadlines and timeframes established by the client. Surveyor deficiencies should clearly link identified deficient practice with associated regulation. Documentation is to be completed with accuracy and special attention to detail using laptop or tablet computer technology
  • Report survey findings involving Immediate Jeopardy (IJ) Condition level findings or Substandard Quality of Care (SQC) to appropriate Quality Assurance staff while maintaining deadlines and timeframes
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance staff to ensure survey findings are adequately documented and defensible prior to submission to CMS or SSA
  • Submit documentation according to established time deadlines
  • Perform Surveyor duties in accordance with the HMS Core Values and the applicable contract
  • Maintain current knowledge of CMS and HMS policies and procedures, Medicare regulations for applicable healthcare facilities and CMS QSO memos that include program, policy, and process changes/revisions

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience completing CMS surveys
  • Required CMS training for provider type/s which you have interest in surveying
  • Ability to critically think and be competent in decision making skills
  • Ability to perform all facility required tasks
  • Bachelors degree and 3 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference given to registered nurses, LPN's, licensed social workers, dietitians
  • Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) qualification for LTC surveyors
