Job Description: Summary:
The Medical Imaging Specialist is responsible for providing CT and MR imaging expertise for the client's 3D modeling service and operation team. This includes performing initial inspection of CT and MR scans received for 3D model segmentation, providing in-process consultation for segmentation technicians, and performing final QC for segmented 3D models to ensure delivery of high-quality 3D models to customers for use in patient education, pre-operative planning and intra-operative reference. Additional functions of the position are described herein.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience with a University degree, or 6 years of experience with a Master's degree, with a clinical focus area related to medical imaging (CT and MR) interpretation, or 3 years of clinical experience with a registered radiologic assistant (RRA) degree.
- Familiar with CT and MR scanning protocols (thoracic, abdominal and pelvic).
- Experience with case management in a clinical setting, including operational efficiencies in clinical trials and effective communications with clinicians.
- ctive Radiography credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Preferred experience in 3D and multi-planar reformatting.
- Preferred experience in interpretation of radiologic images (CT and MR) of the human body (thoracic, abdominal and pelvic), or active ARRT (CT) and (MR) credentials.

- 3D Model Service
- Perform initial inspection of CT and MR scans received from customers. This includes checking scan conformance rules and quality, selecting the best series for 3D model segmentation, assigning orders to segmentation technicians, prioritizing assignments according to surgery dates and organ types, and documenting scans that are not suitable for 3D segmentation.
- Provide in-process consultation for segmentation technicians. This includes providing imaging interpretation and checking segmentation accuracy.
- Perform final QC for segmented 3D models prior to delivery. This includes ensuring the final 3D models are displayed correctly in the App viewer and that the final 3D models meet customer expectations.
- Provide clinical expertise in medical imaging interpretation applied to segmentation of patient scans from CT and MR.
- ssist process engineers with testing cases and validation cases.
- Report issues with scans received from I3DM orders for engineering teams to troubleshoot.
- Support discussions with customer imaging facilities to identify potential scan protocol changes that can result in improved 3D model quality.

Boston Scientific is looking to add a new position in the Interventional Oncology group to assist in the interpretation, analysis and strategy of medical imaging across a wide product and therapeutic portfolio including embolics, radioembolics, focal ablation and biopsy tools. The position will interface with medical advisory boards, new product/therapy development teams and clinical/preclinical activities, and medical safety to improve product services and offerings that expand a role of imaging diagnostics relevant to radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, and other physician specialties.
Works as a member of New Product & Therapy Development teams to develop new technologies, therapies, products or procedures. Independently, or as a member of a team, researches, develops and executes plans for key aspects of complex projects. Compiles and analyzes operational, test, and research data to establish new and improved methodologies which enhance existing and future products.
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office in Maple Grove, MN or Aden Hills, MN at least three days per week.

- Subject matter expert on medical imaging and dosimetry concepts

Required qualifications:
- MSc in medical physics/medical imaging/biomedical engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years or similar relevant experience in a leading research institution or company
- Experience in medical imaging research, ideally with applications in the treatment of cancer
- Understanding of nuclear medicine (PET/SPECT), diagnostic (CT, MRI, US) and interventional (fluoroscopy, CBCT) imaging modalities
- Familiar with dosimetry concepts
- Strong scientific and technical writing skills exemplified by a proven ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts through scientific publications, regulatory submissions, or similar documents

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Staff Sonographer performs a variety of routine and complex imaging procedures using high frequency sound waves.
Since ultrasound can be degraded or blocked by various tissues and materials including lung, bowel gas and bone, obtaining a sonogram is a tailored examination requiring technical skill to adjust the machine, experience to find appropriate windows that can transmit an undistorted ultrasound beam, and diagnostic knowledge to obtain extra images customized to the diagnosis of concern and to abnormalities seen while obtaining the basic image set.
This need to heavily customize the examination to each patient and to recognize and diagnose pathology separates the sonographer from other imaging technologists in radiology.
The Staff Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other required modalities within individual department(s). Examinations are performed independently, under physician supervision, and with peer collaboration as is appropriate.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of a certified CAAHEP school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology or a two-year allied health equivalent.
Must be ARDMS registered with an ABD or OB/GYN credential.
EXPERIENCE:
One - five years paid scanning experience required

Distinguishing Characteristics:
This Medical Imaging Specialist II position performs duties more independently in their respective specialty area of Ultrasound. This position will possess the necessary certifications, licenses, and experience to perform the duties in Ultrasound.
Medical Imaging Specialist II is the journey level of the Medical Imaging Specialist series. Incumbents have a minimum of two (2) years of experience and perform their duties more independently in their respective specialty areas.
EDUCATIONAL/BILINGUAL INCENTIVE: Incumbents may be eligible for educational incentive of 2.5%, 3.5%, or 5% based on completion of an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree that is not required for the classification. Incumbents may also be eligible for bilingual incentive depending upon operational need and certification of skill.

Prepares and positions patients for examination according to approved modality protocols;

Performs Ob/Gyn sonograms, biophysical profiles and AFI's (Amniotic Fluid Index);

Assists with amniocentesis procedures;

Performs sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth assessment, and color doppler studies;

Performs ultrasound exams utilizing different scanning modalities as required by the patient's condition and/or examination requested;

Evaluates images for quality;

Works with physicians, nursing staff and schedulers to ensure patients are seen promptly;

Cleans and sterilizes equipment and procedure table before and after each procedure;

Assist with inventory control and purchasing of supplies for assigned area; and

Typical Qualifications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from a single two-year allied health education program that is patient-care related; OR
