**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Execute strategic scientific and educational initiatives aligned with Medical Affairs and commercial goals.
+ Lead exchange discussions with healthcare professionals, including laboratory professionals, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and hospital leaders.
+ Support KOL engagement through advisory boards, educational symposia, investigator meetings and sponsored promotional programs.
+ Develop and deliver training for external providers and internal teams.
+ Respond to unsolicited off-label inquiries in compliance with regulations.
+ Disseminate findings from post-market studies and collaborate on publications such as manuscripts and abstract development.
**About You:**
+ Minimum bachelor's degree required, with preferred education in molecular biology, clinical microbiology, nursing, clinical, laboratory or other relevant technical areas. Professional certification (clinical research, laboratory) preferred.
+ Minimum 1 year of experience in lab science, clinical research and clinical microbiology/molecular biology required.
+ Experience providing education, training, and collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams preferred
+ Knowledge of clinical diagnostics, infectious diseases, and evidence-based medicine that can be applied to a wide range of standard and non-standard inquiries and conversations, preferred.
+ Ability to travel up to 25% required.

**What a Senior Medical Science Liaison contributes to Cardinal Health** :
The Senior Medical Science Liaison acts as a representative of the Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions (NPHS) medical affairs department to support Cardinal Health customers, the scientific development of radiopharmaceutical drug products, and medical education.
This role leverages internal product knowledge and medical and clinical subject matter expertise to develop activities that deliver highly credible, and fair/balanced scientific information to internal and external stakeholders. The individual will establish professional relationships with medical thought leaders including key opinion leaders (KOLs) to communicate and understand key relevant clinical and research insights and develop and deploy scientific and clinical education for healthcare professionals, patients and others.
This role joins a team of medical affairs professionals who report to the Sr Director of Regulatory & Medical Affairs.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate across multiple functions and within a region to maximize theranostic knowledge and clinical strategies
+ Lead scientific strategy at medical congresses
+ Lead internal and external clinical education programs
+ Provide timely feedback/information on emerging clinical/scientific data and opportunities from literature and market insights to internal teams and stakeholders (strategy, business development, marketing)
+ Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in academic, community, and healthcare provider settings in both groups and one-on-one situations

**What a Senior Medical Science Liaison contributes to Cardinal Health** :

**Responsibilities:**

The Medical Science Liaison facilitates and develops the relationship with the medical/scientific community including physicians and medical centers, by communicating scientific and medical therapy area related information to investigators and institutions. **RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provide field-based medical support to Company's clinical research programs.
+ Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters in the disease area of responsibility and about company pipeline to investigators in company-sponsored interventional research.
+ Engage with clinical trial site investigators and staff to understand enrollment/screening barriers from a medical perspective and work with the site and client to find potential medical solutions. Aiming to support clinical trial enrollment.
+ Provide support to company clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, initiation visits, facilitation of communication, and accrual support activities.
+ In an accurate, fair and balanced manner, exchange scientific information with external parties.
+ Report field intelligence to IQVIA/Client including competitive information, perspectives about compounds, and the treatment landscape.
+ Establish and maintain a close working relationship with site management & monitoring staff and partner in facilitating the initiation and conduct of prioritized Company clinical trials.
+ Supports clinicals study sites with knowledge and training on the disease, the treatment, the mode of action and new data on investigational molecules in a compliant manner.
+ Supports and aids in the preparation and conduction of advisory boards.
+ Consult with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical professionals, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, to refer appropriate patients to clinical trial sites and review clinical practice topics as requested by the investigator or referring sites.
+ Act as the point of contact with thought leaders for investigator-initiated study (IST's) ideas within company pipeline assets.
+ Participate in the site selection process by suggesting sites and investigator names to help identify appropriately qualified external experts the Company would wish to engage in collaborative efforts - such as potential research collaborations, or educational and advisory roles (Advisory Boards, Congresses, Symposia, etc.); while ensuring a high level of scientific or educational integrity in these collaborative efforts.
+ Facilitate medical and scientific field intelligence including maintaining a list of investigators/potential investigators within a given therapy area, understand competitor research activities in active or planned study sites, generate insights from investigators on challenges and opportunities.
+ Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences and may represent company in scientific booths at congresses.
+ Upon request, assist physicians with requests for access to company medicines on a named patient or compassionate use basis, subject to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Ensure that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to all applicable local, global, and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, Company policies and accepted standards of best practice.
+ Identify, and categorize key opinion leaders (KOL) with an interest in the designated therapy area.
+ Work with identified stakeholders to establish and enhance the reputation of the company as required and demonstrate themselves to be a partner of choice for consultant clinicians interested in the designated therapy area.
+ Coach and develop scientific speakers who are actively interested in the designated therapy area through one-on-one clinical training on approved clinical slide sets. Act as a clinical resource with professional, and advocacy organizations with the objective of developing relationships.
+ Serve as scientific resource to, marketing, medical and clinical as appropriate gathering insights and sharing them proactively.
+ Identify, and profile community-based investigators, and institutions to assess their ability to participate in observational registries, to conduct investigator-initiated trials, participating in company sponsored studies.

**Required Education, Experience And Skills**

**Required Education, Experience And Skills**

**What a Senior Medical Science Liaison contributes to Cardinal Health** :
The Senior Medical Science Liaison acts as a representative of the Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions (NPHS) medical affairs department to support Cardinal Health customers, the scientific development of radiopharmaceutical drug products, and medical education.
This role leverages internal product knowledge and medical and clinical subject matter expertise to develop activities that deliver highly credible, and fair/balanced scientific information to internal and external stakeholders. The individual will establish professional relationships with medical thought leaders including key opinion leaders (KOLs) to communicate and understand key relevant clinical and research insights and develop and deploy scientific and clinical education for healthcare professionals, patients and others.
This role joins a team of medical affairs professionals who report to the Sr Director of Regulatory & Medical Affairs.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate across multiple functions and within a region to maximize theranostic knowledge and clinical strategies
+ Lead scientific strategy at medical congresses
+ Lead internal and external clinical education programs
+ Provide timely feedback/information on emerging clinical/scientific data and opportunities from literature and market insights to internal teams and stakeholders (strategy, business development, marketing)
+ Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in academic, community, and healthcare provider settings in both groups and one-on-one situations
+ Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to establish and maintain scientific relationships; connect with KOLs in academic and community centers in multiple therapeutic areas focused on radiopharmaceuticals (oncology, neurology, cardiology)
+ Act as a technical resource to physicians, nuclear medicine technologists, and other healthcare providers using NPHS products
+ Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator-initiated research of NPHS products
+ Collaborate with NPHS Clinical Affairs to enhance patient enrollment in NPHS-sponsored clinical trials with site recommendations and maintain contact with investigators participating in ongoing studies
+ Maintain current knowledge of FDA regulations and internal policies regarding Medical Drug Information, including any MSL presentations and Medical/Safety Review Committees
