About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to support our dynamic healthcare team, with a strong focus on Primary Care and Women's Services. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
+ Receive and screen incoming calls, provide information per hospital policy, and route calls appropriately.
+ Schedule and coordinate patient appointments; ensure diagnostic test results are available prior to visits.
+ Greet patients, visitors, and staff; assess needs and direct accordingly.
+ Register patients in the system, verify insurance, collect documentation, and process payments.
+ Escort patients to exam rooms and document relevant information in charts.
+ Assist physicians during examinations and procedures; clean and prep exam rooms between patients.
+ Follow up with patients post-procedure, delivery, or surgery; relay updates to physicians.
+ Maintain patient charts, departmental records, billing logs, and pre-register outpatients for next-day appointments.
Qualifications
+ Required: Medical Assisting diploma or certificate
+ Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
+ ️ Proficiency in patient registration systems and basic office software

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
