We are looking for a Full time Medical Assistant to join our team as a lab instructor. This position is 50 percent on campus and 50 percent work from home- Hybrid role.

Then you have the heart of an Instructor! We offer a fully established curriculum and a new faculty onboarding course that you will go through the first 2 weeks. Although previous teaching experience and experience with Canvas are preferred, it is not required.
Job DescriptionThis position will provide fully prepared current instruction that meets desired learning outcomes, academic advising and career-related counseling to students, actively engage in retention activities, and provide support for program and institutional initiatives.
The schedule is:
Monday: 7:30 am - 1:30 pm
Wednesday: 7:30 am - 1:30 pm
Responsibilities:
- Educate and provide technological and academic training to students
- Ensure students are aware of the competencies necessary for all objectives in the syllabus
- Design and carry out a lesson plan for each class taught that recognizes students' abilities, learning styles and provide accommodation for individual students differences
- Always exhibit World Class Service when working with students as well as coworkers
- Analyze outward signs of problems that students may have that inhibit their achievement and take appropriate action
- Refer students to campus director or student services to overcome those traits that appear to be keeping the student from a high level of achievement
- Identify and refer students who are "at risk" of leaving the course to student services
- Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling
- Use a variety of means of evaluation to support student abilities (cooperative learning, reports, and team work)
- Provide input and participate in academic committees formed for the purpose of enrichment of both the programs and student life on campus
- Support all company initiatives by process and procedure as communicated
- Work and communicate effectively with all campus departmental staff
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Comply with all State, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations
Education:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; advanced education or college degree preferred but will consider candidates with equivalent experience
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, NRCMA) preferred
Experience/Skills:
- Three demonstrable (3) years of hands-on clinical experience in the medical assistant role
- Current knowledge of Medical Assistant practice
- Ability to mentor a highly diverse student population
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software-Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc. preferred
- Proficient in interpersonal oral presentation; excellent communication skills

Regular Full Time Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly Reports to: LPN
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Vacation, Paid Holidays
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesObserve, record, and report on the condition of patients including adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
Medical responsibilities:
- Take vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare and give injections and enemas.
- Apply dressings, apply ice packs, hot water bottles, and monitor catheters.
- Collect samples for testing.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Make sure immunizations are current and documented.
- Follow through with recommendations.
- Complete patient documentation on the EMR system, using the Electronic Medical Records system.
Medication responsibilities:
- Ensure they are organized and stored properly.
- Administer meds and topical treatments as prescribed per individual medication protocols (follow 6 step procedures)
- Document following med administration.
- Record med errors and submit reports per policy.
- Follow proper drug disposal procedures.
IV Care responsibilities:
- May hang plain IV solutions/antibiotics if the medication is pre-mixed by the pharmacy.
Sterilization Responsibilities:
- Ensure sterilization of equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures.
Documentation responsibilities:
- Maintain medical management records.
- Update and file patient charts.
- Ensure you have a permanent medical record book that contains assessments, flow charts (1 yr), authorizations, incident reports, medical history, progress notes, and other pertinent info.
Answer phones, greet patients, and order supplies.
Arrange for hospital admission and laboratory services.
Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to cultural issues and community practices of children and families.
Ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records.
Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with CC Idaho, Joint Commission, OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Required Physical DemandsIs frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms; grasping/holding.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work EnvironmentWork in an office setting; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate; may be exposed to electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles.
