We are excited to announce that currently we are looking for a 100% remote (work from home-WFH) contact **Patient Support Medical Claims Processing Representative** to join our team. In this position, you will provide payment assistance solutions such as co-pay cards or vouchers. The **Patient Support Call Center Representative** is primarily responsible for receiving medical claims from HCPs or patients and vetting the claim against program specific business rules to determine if the claim should be paid or rejected. This role will be a contract role with IQVIA managed by an external agency, with the opportunity to be converted to an IQVIA full-time employee.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Primary responsibilities involve receiving medical claims from HCPs or patients, ensuring the adequate supporting documentation has been provided, interpreting the EOB/CMS1500, vetting the claim against program specific business rules and ultimately determining if the claim should be paid or rejected
+ Exceptional organizational skills are required
+ May provide support as needed for customer requests via telephone, email, fax, or other available means of contact to the Support Center
+ Requires the ability to recognize operational challenges and suggest recommendations to management, as necessary
+ Ability to work 40 hours per week (shifts available: 8:00am - 5:00pm EST or, 9:00am - 6:00pm EST or, 10:00am - 7:00pm ET or, 11:00am - 8:00pm EST) under moderate supervision
**Minimum Education & Experience:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Experience in claim processing required
+ Medical Billing Certification required
+ Coding Certification required
+ Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
+ HIPPA certified
+ Customer Service Experience preferred
+ Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
+ Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Job DescriptionThe UMKC School of Dentistry is looking for a reliable and self-motivated Clinical Technician II to work independently and in a team environment as part of our Dental Clinic Sterilization Team. This team is responsible for sterilizing and disinfecting the instruments and equipment used in the various Dental Clinics within the School of Dentistry - we see over 200+ patients per day!
This position works in a learning environment, supporting Faculty, Staff, and Students and is a place for all to excel and grow professionally. You will be part of a team effort that provides student education and dental care for the community. You will work with pleasant and outgoing people from different departments throughout the building. One of the brightest sides of working at the dental school is meeting all of our new students for the first time and greeting them with a smile. Our vision is to help dental and dental hygiene students achieve their goals to be the best-qualified clinicians upon graduation.
An ideal candidate for this position understands the importance of following infection control procedures and policies, including OSHA and UMKC guidelines, and recognizes names and uses of standard dental equipment. Customer service is paramount when helping to serve our students and faculty.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare dental cassettes, bur blocks, and other equipment and ensure that the cassettes are complete, sterilized, and ready to be checked out for patient treatment.
- Approximately 30% of the day is spent pushing and pulling sterilization racks.
- Inventory instruments and sterilize equipment in Graduate Clinics.
- Periodically perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance checks on various equipment.
- Assist with state boards.
- May provide task/activity-level direction to others with less experience (i.e., first year dental students)
- This role will be crossed trained with the UMKC School of Dentistry Dispensary department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* At least one year of experience is necessary from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired.
* Certifications, as required by regulatory agencies, are necessary.
Knowledge of dental materials and equipment is preferred.
Anticipated Hiring RangeAnticipated salary range for this role is up to $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) performs laboratory testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration of equipment, quality control procedures and is responsible for the validity of test results.
_ Essential Job Duties: _
Level I - Minimum
- Perform laboratory assays in accordance with Viracor Eurofins standard operating procedures.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain all laboratory equipment and instruments according to standard operating procedures to ensure quality results.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies, reagents, and materials.
- Accept or reject test results in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Document remedial action, troubleshooting, quality assurance activities and instrument maintenance.
- Adhere to established processing timelines.
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Level II – Fully meets the responsibilities of Level I plus the following:
- General knowledge of Standard Operating Procedure writing, assay theory, and instrumentation
- Orient, mentor and teach clinical laboratory methods, procedures, and techniques to new Associates.
- Demonstrate effective teamwork skills by knowledge sharing.
- Take on formally assigned additional duties, such as training, as a part of routine job performance
- Participate in special project teams as requested by supervisory staff.
Level III – Fully meets the responsibilities of Level II plus the following:
- Obtain advanced knowledge of Viracor Eurofins standard operating procedures, assays, and instrumentation.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities in conjunction with Technical Supervisor
- Volunteer to serve on various committees and panels to the benefit of the laboratory or company in general (e.g., Safety Committee)
- Performs train the trainer and Qualified Personnel responsibilities as assigned.

_ Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: _
Level I – Minimum
- BS or BA in Clinical Laboratory Science
- OR Associate’s in Medical Laboratory Technician
- OR BS or BA in Biological, Physical, or Chemical Science with 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.
- Willing to work with potentially infectious human blood and body fluids.
- Ability to work with automated and manual platforms.
- Must possess skills required for aseptic techniques.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and honesty in performing tests, documenting test results, and maintaining patient, client, employee, and laboratory business confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Analytical judgment, problem solving skills, accuracy, and strong detail oriented.
Level II – Fully meets the qualifications of Level I plus the following:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience at CLS I level work.
- Possess the required skills to perform the additional level requirements above.
Level III – Fully meets the qualifications of Level II plus the following:
- BS or BA in biological, physical, chemical, or clinical laboratory science
- Minimum of 6 years of clinical laboratory experience, inclusive of Viracor tenure as a Laboratory Technician
- Completed train-the-trainer program and possess the skillset to be a trainer and Qualified Personnel
- Possess advanced knowledge and troubleshooting capability.
- Has demonstrated achievement in advancing laboratory improvements, including participation in committees, panels, process improvement teams, or other related activities.
_ Physical Requirements: _
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead.
- Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time as necessary in the laboratory (4 or more hours)
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Physical dexterity sufficient to move body frequently around laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
- Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions.
