+ Accurate and timely data entry of dictated and/or handwritten pathology cases into the laboratory information system
+ Provides complete and accurate resolution to all user inquiries or redirects the inquirer to the appropriate resource(s) in a timely manner
+ Identifies problems, determines and provides/implements appropriate corrective action/accurate solutions
+ Researches, troubleshoots, and follows up to ensure all inquiries/problems are resolved in a timely manner
+ Transcribe medical reports, summaries, office visit notes, and other medical documents from recorded messages from health care providers
+ Provide online copies of transcribed documents to physicians or other providers for review and signature, making corrections or changes as noted
+ Work with transcription and dictation equipment that can include speech recognition equipment, word processing, and computer software
+ Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality according to provider standards and government regulations
+ Review transcription documents for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact patient care and medical liability

Our Dermatology Clinic provides comprehensive dermatological care for patients with general and specialized skin conditions. Our services include treatments for hair loss, atypical moles, nail disorders, cutaneous lymphomas, contact dermatitis and rheumatology conditions, and treatment for skin cancers. Our clinic is also proud to provide Mohs micrographic surgery, which is one of the most effective state-of-the-art procedures for treating skin cancer.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:**
+ Provide Accurate, Real-Time Documentation: Accompany the dermatology provider during patient visits to observe, record, and transcribe the complete clinical encounter into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), including patient history, review of systems, physical findings, diagnostic impressions, and provider plan of care, ensuring precise and timely entry that meets legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Facilitate Order Entry and Prescription Refills: Enter prescriptions, laboratory orders, procedures, and billing information into the EMR as directed by the provider, adhering to established protocols and ensuring that all information complies with provider instructions and clinical documentation standards.
+ Support Clinical Workflow and Procedures: Assist the provider during dermatologic procedures in partnership with the rest of the care team.
+ Ensure Data Confidentiality and Regulatory Compliance: Handle all patient information in strict accordance with HIPAA regulations and institutional policies, maintaining confidentiality and security throughout documentation and patient interactions, and demonstrating adherence to OSHA standards and infection control protocols at all times.

**Pay Rate Information**
The salary information provided below is for a full-time position and will be pro-rated for part-time.

- Maintain the legal confidentiality and physical security of medical records as required by HIPAA and/or other regulations.
- Determine proper release of medical record information in response to proper informational requests in compliance with HIPAA and/or other regulatory guidelines.
- Code diagnoses and services provided with ICD-10 statistical classification as deemed necessary.
- File medical record information in a timely manner and thin/purge medical records in accordance with facility policy.
- Report any allegation of abuse, neglect, exploitation or misappropriation of resident property per facility policy.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance Program as requested or directed.
- Maintain stock of forms and record supplies.

- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly of Excel spreadsheets
