Qualifications
* Holds appropriate degrees from accredited colleges or universities:

* Bachelors degree in nursing with a Masters degree in nursing or a related field.
* Holds a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.
* Has current clinical experience of at least three years in the clinical subject area being taught.
Compensation
Based on highest applicable degree earned, the compensation range per credit is $1,194 - $1,366 (credit load ranges from 3-7).

Regis University is seeking Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Clinical Affiliate Faculty (CAF) to facilitate mental health clinical rotations in the Denver Metro area. CAF are part-time employees hired to teach specific clinical rotations and are responsible for supervising students in patient care environments. CAF collaborate with the Loretto Heights School of Nursing and the assigned health care facility to provide an exceptional clinical learning experience for pre-licensure nursing students.
Work will be completed in the Denver Metro area.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Orientation:
- Familiarize yourself with course objectives and clinical outcomes
- Attend course-specific orientation to plan the implementation of the clinical experience
- Orient to the clinical facility and clinical units where students will be assigned
- Complete computer training at clinical facility if needed
- Communicate with students at least one (1) week prior to start of rotation
- Orient students to the nursing units
Clinical Teaching:
- Follow all course clinical guidelines and expectations as outlined in course syllabus
- Develop a student schedule with unit assignments and other learning experiences
- Make patient care assignments for students
- Evaluate student's clinical preparation through the examination of preparation sheets, nursing care plans, and/or other documents to determine the student's clinical preparedness
- Supervise students in patient care experiences with special attention to the outcomes of the Clinical Competency Tool (CCT)
- Coordinate observational learning experiences for students at the clinical site as well as in simulation
- Hold a clinical conference with students to facilitate the integration of learning experiences as appropriate
- Be available for students to provide teaching and evaluation on a continuous basis during the assigned clinical time
- Provide ongoing and appropriate on-site clinical instruction and supervision for each clinical experience as well within the pre- and post-clinical simulation
- Maintain professional relationships with clinical staff in each site and area
Student Evaluation:
- Utilize the clinical log form to document and provide feedback on student behaviors and progression towards meeting clinical objectives and outcomes
- Utilize the CCT to provide student feedback at mid-rotation and at the end of the clinical rotation
- Consult with course faculty on a weekly basis and as needed throughout the clinical rotation to anticipate and solve problems and ensure effective teaching/learning experiences
- Notify course faculty promptly regarding student issues, including, but not limited to, student tardiness, absences, critical incidents, illnesses, student emergencies, or other incidents that may indicate actual or potential performance issues
- Grade the clinical project/paper (if applicable) according to the criteria outlines in the course materials
- Submit all student papers with clinical faculty's feedback, comments, and grade to the course faculty within one (1) week of the end of the clinical rotation
Working Conditions:
- The University appointment is part-time and temporary in nature and thus carries no fringe benefits
- After University appointment, hiring for clinical rotations occurs on an as-needed, limited-term basis
- Must maintain current health requirements, training, licensures, and certifications on file with the Loretto Heights School of Nursing
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must live in the Denver Metro area or surrounding area.
- An active Unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado
- Must have a Masters or Doctoral degree or have a BSN with the ability to provide a written plan with Regis and the CO Board of Nursing to obtain a Master's or higher degree in nursing.

Working Schedule:

JOB SUMMARY: adjunct faculty receive a contract or letter stating adjunct employment with a primary responsibility for work in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) DNP and Post-Graduate Certificate tracks. Faculty members assess, plan, implement and evaluate instruction for students in clinical and classroom settings or laboratories in coordination with established course and program objectives. Serving University of Saint Francis (USF) students and the USF community is paramount. This is a remote or on-site position.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
Teaching & Related Activities
The primary responsibility of faculty member is effective teaching. For details on classroom and clinical responsibilities - See USF Faculty Handbook. PMHNP Adunct Faculty are expected to:
* Serve as content experts with certification in PMHNP to work with the Graduate Nursing Program Director and other faculty to develop the core content for the PMHNP track.
* Develop, as needed, PMHNP course objectives, topical outlines, and content for the courses specific to the course descriptions and link these to DNP student learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
* Evaluate and make recommendations for specific needs unique to the PMHNP track (ex. additional library resources, simulation needs, textbooks, appropriate clinical settings, faculty needs, preceptor needs, etc.).
* Teach courses consistent with the catalog description and content map.
* Teach assigned classes at the scheduled time and place and meet required contact hours.
* Integrate evidence-based practice in fulfilling all roles of faculty practice.
* Collaborate with colleagues for instructional improvement via professional peer review.
* Submit reports and requests for information promptly.
* Teach students using appropriate methodologies to facilitate student classroom and/or clinical learning experiences.
* Effectively communicate with students.
* Facilitate critical reflection and support innovation in students.
* Evaluate student clinical, laboratory and classroom performance and provide individual counsel and guidance as necessary to promote student success.
* Propose plans to improve students' performance.
* Maintain appropriate records such as clinical evaluations, test scores, anecdotal notes and attendance on an ongoing basis to document evidence of student progress.

* Current Indiana RN/APRN license or privilege to practice (or eligibility for license) required
* Current Certification or Recertification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Experience
* Two years of clinical experience as a PMHNP is preferred.
* Experience as faculty or clinical coordinator in a PMHNP program preferred.
* Formal instruction in curriculum, evaluation, and instruction is preferred.
Requirements for all College of Health Sciences faculty engaged in clinical instruction:
* Current TB testing
