Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a MEP Design Engineer to assist with our projects in Maumee OH!
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing conceptual design to final construction plans, details and specifications, as well as coordination and communication with the design team.
- Experience required with pumps and piping systems for Lift Stations; Bio-Digester system piping and equipment; fuel systems new design and or retrofit of existing; piping systems design and standards;
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Plant 3 and Flow Model preferred.
- Candidates must have proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Revit design software and also Waste Water Treatment Plant engineering and design experience
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Possess strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Must have proficiency in working within a multi-faceted team environment, and in checking various design calculations
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

7+ years of electrical engineering experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

PE license (preferred) or EIT with a path toward licensure (NY and NJ preferred)

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience a plus

In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI standards, and applicable building codes

Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents

Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles

Previous leadership or mentorship of junior engineers

We are actively seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing electrical engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse, complex building projects while leading junior team members and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary project team.
Key Responsibilities – Senior Electrical Engineer:

Lead, mentor, and develop junior electrical engineering staff

Plan, design, and coordinate electrical systems for various building projects in compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other codes
-
Perform and review electrical calculations, including load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, and equipment sizing
-
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and permit applications
-
Conduct quality assurance reviews of electrical design work and ensure accuracy of construction documents
-
Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
-
Participate in project meetings, including design reviews and construction coordination
-
Support construction administration including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and site visits
-
Contribute to proposal development and business development initiatives
-
Ensure project budgets, timelines, and scope are maintained
Minimum Qualifications:
-
7+ years of electrical engineering experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
-
PE license (preferred) or EIT with a path toward licensure (NY and NJ preferred)
-
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience a plus
-
In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI standards, and applicable building codes

Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents
-
Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles
-
Previous leadership or mentorship of junior engineers
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; load calculation software experience preferred

Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel locally (Tri-State area) up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in building electrical system design
-
Experience with electrical power analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP)
-
Revit proficiency for MEP systems coordination
-
Prior experience at a full-service architecture and engineering firm
