Overview Assists physicians in the medical center by performing duties necessary to provide perfusion services during cardiac, vascular, ECMO, and other surgical cases. Reports to the Manager-Perfusion Services. Performs duties consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required. Licensure: Must hold a license as a Licensed Clinical Perfusionist (LCP) in the applicable state. Experience: New graduate perfusionists acceptable; some experience preferred. Certifications: Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) required. ABCP certified or eligible. Provisional licensure accepted for new graduates. LCP and CCP must be obtained within 1 year of employment. The nurse diabetes educator/coordinator is a health professional who is either registered or licensed by an appropriate accrediting body in her/his field. The coordinator is an experienced health care professional with a strong background in diabetes education. Certification by the Nation Certification Board for Diabetes Educators is desirable.

Under the direction of a physician order, administers a specific occupational therapy evaluation and plans and implements a treatment program. The treatment plan is based on the patients physical, developmental and psychosocial needs. Provides advisory service to other interdisciplinary team members to promote quality patient care. Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
