The Collections Acquisition & Metadata Services Division (CAMS) is hiring a Head of Metadata Management to fulfill a pivotal and creative role in support of its multifaceted operations and projects. Key Responsibilities Include:
Metadata Management:
- Collaborate and liaison with Libraries IT in the development and maintenance of vendor metadata load profiles, and data exports to external systems.
- Ensure quality control by working with vendors to implement best practices.
- Work closely with peers in Collections Strategies in assessing metadata sources and practices for electronic resources
- Collaborate with staff in CAMS and the Rare Book & Manuscript Library regarding special projects with metadata needs.

- Query collection inventory to support ReCAP projects, track fund expenditures, or support collection analysis. Explore FOLIO API capabilities.
FOLIO System Implementation and Support:
- Support the implementation and ongoing workflow development for acquisitions and collection inventory maintenance and processes.
- Explore opportunities for automation and optimize FOLIO settings and features. Help manage and monitor EDI invoicing settings and routines.
Staff Training, Workflow Development, Documentation
- Facilitate and train staff in the application of FAST subject vocabularies.
- Assist division librarians in maintaining procedural documentation in wiki-spaces.
- Explore software solutions and metadata related tools for possible introduction to procedures and workflows.
Qualifications
Required:
- Masters degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple library systems, metadata standards and formats, leading to resource discovery.
- Experience with database queries and applications, use of SQL, APIs, and various tools and supporting software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Voyager and/or FOLIO library management systems.
- Understanding of library acquisitions practices and linkage to metadata
- Knowledge of programming languages and tools relevant to metadata management.
- Experience in an academic library setting.

- Ensuring the quality, integrity, and governance of metadata across the organization’s data landscape.
- Lead a team responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining metadata standards and practices to support data governance, data lineage, and data management activities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive metadata management strategy aligned with the organizations data governance and data management objectives.
- Partner with technology and business partners to adhere to metadata standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of metadata across various data domains and systems.
- Responsible for managing multiple development projects, often global in scope. Directs and provides guidance on the analysis and design of data models and logical databases at the data element level consistent with the corporate architectural models.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 12+ years of experience in data modelling/warehousing with related management experience, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Experienced hands-on Data and Metadata Management, from concept to implementation with a demonstrable track record of delivery.
- Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages multiple data modelling/warehousing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure. You will have strong analytical and management skills, are familiar with Agile methodology and played an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution. The ability to apply backlog prioritization to define sprint goals and enable iterative deliveries is key.

We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. About the role
As a Data Quality Specialist you will be a critical component of our autonomous vehicle data pipeline. You will ensure the integrity and quality of data collected from our test vehicles, which is essential for training and improving our self-driving systems. Your meticulous review and verification processes will help maintain high data standards and facilitate the development of more accurate and reliable autonomous driving algorithms.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Review and validate data collected from test drives to ensure completeness, accuracy, and relevance
- Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline data verification processes
- Identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and quality issues in collected datasets
- Assist with data annotation and labeling to support machine learning model training
- Document quality standards and create comprehensive reports on data quality metrics
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve data collection methodologies
- Support the continuous improvement of data verification workflows
- 2+ years experience in data analysis, quality assurance, or related technical field
- Familiarity with data annotation tools and workflows
- Experience with data validation techniques and quality control processes for AV domain
- Attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Experience with sensor data (LiDAR, radar, camera) from autonomous vehicles
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Prior experience in autonomous vehicle or automotive industries
- Programming skills in Python or similar languages for automation script development
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with software tools/services like Slack, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience with Google Workspace
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.

Data Quality Specialist

The Data Quality Specialist ensures data is accurate and consistent in Raiser's Edge and Apricot 360 databases through regular audits, quality monitoring, and feedback. Responsibilities include timely data entry, identifying data issues, supporting database cleanup, and reporting, and safeguarding sensitive information. Excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders is required.
Essential Functions:
Apricot 360 - Programmatic Data
- Conduct regular data audits to verify accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain data integrity through quality control, clean-up, and process improvements.
- Help develop best practices for database use and entry.
- Assist Data Intake Specialist with client intakes and data entry.
- Record DFPS, LE, and DA case disposition data.
- Perform other database tasks as needed.
- Maintain and update donor records with accurate contact information, giving histories, and communication preferences.
- Conduct regular audits of donor data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established data entry standards.
- Oversee gift entry, pledge tracking, and donor acknowledgment processes, including preparation of annual tax statements.
- Collaborate with Development team members to monitor the progress and results of campaigns, appeals, and events.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance database utilization and improve the quality of donor information.
- Perform research and analysis to identify, qualify, and prioritize potential donors.
- Assist in data cleansing, segmentation, and list management for fundraising initiatives and communications.
- Support the annual Fair Share requests by preparing and organizing necessary materials for distribution.
- Execute other donor database-related tasks as assigned.
- This position is based in the Lewisville, TX office. The candidate must be willing to travel to all offices (Bridgeport, Lewisville, and Denton) when agency needs arise.

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
The Data Quality Specialist will maintain data for clients and families that have accessed the program. The following duties may be handled in conjunction with Funder staff, and Program staff where applicable
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Documentation Review - Conducts file documentation review at least weekly. Ensures that all documentation is in order including ensuring documents are filled out correctly, compete, and signed. This ensures quality assurance at the program level.

Monitors database reports to assure consistency with hardcopy records and other logs

Runs regular progress reports, and other reports as required by Program Manager; creates customized reports to support shelter management and to provided other needed information on request

Coordinates with Case Managers and Intake staff to ensure data intake requirements are met

Trains staff on database and answers questions relating to the system

Supports any technical and reporting issues for the Program;

Assists with program funder audits and monitoring visits;

Oversees the privacy/confidentiality notification processes to meet regulatory guidelines

Exports data and upload to Funder repository as directed
