Job Description
The Metallurgical Engineer plays a vital role in supporting quality and production operations by providing technical expertise in metallurgy and materials engineering. This position is crucial in minimizing customer concerns and product rejection rates, ensuring consistent quality and process efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor and improve aluminum casting and heat treatment processes.
+ Analyze metallurgical test results and production data to ensure quality standards.
+ Investigate and resolve customer quality concerns with a goal of near-zero issues.
+ Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce rejections.
+ Support new product development and customer-specific requirements.
+ Oversee lab testing procedures and supervise lab personnel.
+ Maintain and improve documentation, work instructions, and quality standards.
+ Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering teams to optimize outcomes.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Engineering.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in aluminum casting, forging, or extrusion.
+ Experience in metallurgy, aluminum fabrication, casting, and testing.
+ Supervisory experience in materials engineering, materials science, quality engineering, and metallurgical processes.
+ Proficiency in root cause analysis and failure analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $9000.00 - $11000.00/yr.

Upon successful completion of training, the candidate will be able to solely perform acid unloading activities at the acid unloading facility.
