**Your Challenge**
+ Conduct material characterization, and metallurgical evaluations using advanced analytical techniques. Support failure analysis testing as needed.
+ Perform microstructural analysis, weld evaluations, aggressive machining, and other metallurgical tests per customer and industry specifications.
+ Develop and execute test plans for standard and custom projects, ensuring compliance with ASTM and other relevant standards.
+ Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations for clients.
+ Collaborate with customers to interpret specifications and resolve technical issues.
+ Train and guide laboratory personnel in sample preparation, test setup, and data collection.
+ Maintain IMR's quality and safety standards throughout all testing processes.
+ Support continuous improvement projects within the metallurgy department.
+ Participate in customer audits and provide technical support during on-site visits.

+ Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
+ 3-5 years of experience in metallurgical testing, failure analysis, or related laboratory work.
+ Proficiency with metallurgical instruments such as optical and scanning electron microscopes (SEM), hardness testers, and spectrometers.
+ Strong knowledge of ASTM standards and industry specifications.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
