POSITION SUMMARY
This position responsible to review construction bid documents, blueprints, architectural drawing, structural drawings, and specifications in order to prepare detailed estimates and take-offs for miscellaneous metals projects (steel stairs, railings, ladders, etc.). Coordinate job turnover with project managers, fabricators, and field personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs to develop an estimate and bid proposal.
- Prepare estimate prices on change orders for ongoing projects.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers, subcontractors, and specified manufacturers to complete a materials and labor take-off.
- Prepare required bid forms and documents.
- Complete work in a timely manner to meet bid schedules.
- Respond to clients in a timely manner.
- Always follow up bids with clients until the project has been awarded.
- Responsible to meet clients for a site walk thru of a potential bid opportunity, as required.
- Maintain and update the Project Bid Schedule.
- Prepare project turnover documents for projects won.
- Build and develop trusting relationships with current customers and seek to identify opportunities to grow our customer base and build positive relationships.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE (Include necessary licenses and specialized training.).
- College degree with a degree in Engineering, Detailing or 3D Modeling. Previous work experience in estimating, project management or drafting may substitute.
- Minimum of 3 years experience estimating metal fabrication projects.
- Experience with structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferable
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, structural drawings, welding symbols and construction plans.
- Thorough understanding of steel fabrication and erection methods.
- Previous experience using design/detailing software is .
- Ability to learn proprietary estimating software.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time and manage time efficiently.

About The Role
The Metals Analyst will be responsible for conducting instrumental analysis of environmental samples utilizing ICP, ICP-MS, CVAAS, and AFS technologies.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities:
- Prepare standards and reagents.
- Tune, calibrate, and run analytical sequences per standard operating procedures.
- The technician is responsible to learn and utilize computer software and systems required to process data.
- Trouble shoot analytical systems (i.e., instrumental and sample preparation non-conformities).
- Responsible to accurately document results in controlled logbooks, bench sheets, etc.
- Must develop an understanding of quality control and the requirements of quality control.
- Recognize and maintain safe working conditions. Handle hazardous material appropriately and safely. Use appropriate safety equipment.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4-year Degree in chemistry or related field.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word.
- Multi-tasked, organized, and detail oriented.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with staff, management and clients in a professional manner.
- Able to work well in a team and has problem solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of working in a laboratory environment very helpful.
- Must develop an understanding of quality control and the requirements of quality control.

Position Summary:
GTI Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Metals Clerk to join our Buffalo facility’s day shift operations. This role is responsible for coordinating and tracking the movement, storage, and documentation of raw metal materials (sheet metal, tubing, steel, aluminum, etc.) to support production and fabrication schedules. The ideal candidate has prior experience in material handling or inventory roles and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and log all incoming metal materials accurately in inventory systems
Maintain updated inventory levels of metals by type, size, and location
Coordinate with purchasing, fabrication, and warehouse teams to ensure correct metal stock is available for jobs
Pull metal stock for jobs per shop travelers, cut sheets, or BOMs (Bill of Materials)
Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories of metal stock
Inspect received metals for quality, damage, or discrepancies
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed to transport materials
Keep metal storage areas organized, clean, and labeled per 5S standards
Generate inventory and receiving reports as required
Support shipping and receiving teams as needed during peak demand
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
1+ year of experience in inventory, materials handling, or warehouse role (preferably with metals or industrial materials)
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, cut lists, or fabrication specs
Familiarity with ERP systems (such as Epicor, SAP, or similar) is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and data entry
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout the shift
Forklift certification preferred (or willing to obtain)
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of metal grades, dimensions, and fabrication processes
Previous experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or construction industries
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Work Environment:
Warehouse and production floor environment; safety PPE required (glasses, gloves, steel-toe shoes, etc.)
Occasional outdoor exposure when unloading materials or accessing external storage

Project Manager - Position and Responsibilities
As a Project Manager (PM) with Middough, you will serve as a client account manager and will be the primary point of contact for the client and other outside consultants concerning the project(s). The PM is also responsible for the overall development and execution of a portfolio of metals industry projects (typically $1MM+ project fee) including project profitability, quality, safety, client satisfaction, controlling available resources, project scope, schedule, budget and contractual requirements. - Monitor changes in scope/schedule and secures Change Authorizations, as required.
- Manage project financials, pricing, invoicing, and cash flow.
- Develop, review, and approve all project management documents including scope development, project costs and schedules, and internal/external communications.

- Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline preferred.

- Broad knowledge, understanding and experience with standard engineering and construction models including A/E, AEPCM, or Design Build.

IG weld electrodes to be used for the casting process. Complete all tracking and documentation as required. Adhere to all department and company procedures and policies. Load molds in burnout ovens. Train casting helpers. Maintain a clean, safe working environment. Participate in safety improvement through observations and teamwork improvement events. Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules and safe work practices. Meets established production rates consistent with quality expectations. Assists with general departmental clean-up which may include sweeping and shoveling of debris. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Able to perform basic arithmetic. Mechanically inclined. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Production operation experience preferred. MIG Welding experience helpful. Must be able to use and understand basic computer functions. HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check. Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening. Must take a base line hearing test prior to starting. Working Conditions: The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to, noise, temperature, and machinery.
