Executes building and fabrication of steel, aluminum, plastic, and composite detail parts in accordance with established policies, procedures, work instructions and specific customer requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Fabricate parts using press break, shears, hammers, punches, drills, and other fabrication tools and machinery.
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff parts using hand and power tools
- Follow necessary documentation for procedures, processes, and best-known-methods including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and completing relevant checklists
- Read blueprints, Engineering Change Orders and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required
- Utilize precision measurement tools for part fabrication and inspection

Candidate will be responsible for operating machinery by loading a coil of steel or aluminum and running them into flat sheets for stock and for order requirements. Climbing stairs/ladders, squatting, sitting, operating machinery and may require lifting up to 50lbs, and must be able to wear PPE as required. This is a full-time position and may require some overtime including nights and weekend work.

Welding is not the core responsibility of this position.
What You Get To Do- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions to fabricate precision sheet metal components.
- Operate and set up CNC press brakes to bend and form sheet metal parts to specification.
- Operate CNC cutters (laser, router, turret punch, etc.) for accurate part cutting and hole features.
- Perform precise layout, bending, punching, forming, and notching operations.
- Select and install proper tooling, adjust machine settings, and verify first-piece quality.
- Conduct in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality, and production staff to resolve fabrication issues and improve processes.
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and work area in proper working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
- 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience with CNC press brake and CNC cutting equipment or equivalent experience.

Air/Pro is a design-build industrial air pollution and HVAC specialist based in Tipp City, OH. ( We were established in 1972 and have a solid track record in the air pollution control and air handling fields. Our focus is mainly dust collection and fans, but we have the ability to branch out into related product fields as required (general ventilation, integrated HVAC, specialty fabrication, etc.). Our diverse array of skills and services are continuing to win over a growing group of loyal customers.
In late 2022, Air/Pro opened a mechanical contracting and fabrication business. The launch has been very successful with a long list of completed projects involving fabricated ductwork, hoods, enclosures, etc. along with installation services completed in the field. Our fabrication shop has new equipment and a great staff of fabricators and welders. We have great capacity available and are looking for a salesperson to focus on selling fabrication work to mechanical contractors, integrators, end users, etc. The sales role will also involve the promotion of mechanical work, mainly field installation services. The new role would be based out of our Tipp City, OH shop, with the primary areas of sales coverage being Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of sales experience. Prior exposure to industrial sheet metal work along with equipment such as dust collectors, scrubbers, mist collectors, fans, etc. is a big plus. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: strong will power, energetic and determined work ethic, positive outlook, results oriented approach, power of persuasion, and last but not least a drive to contribute to the company bottom line and thus maximize personal income.
Air/Pro offers commission and bonus opportunities for this new role, so those that perform at the highest level are a great fit for our organization. Base pay and commission / bonus plan are dependent on the level of applicable experience the candidate brings to our company. Our company also covers travel-related expenses such as car allowance, mileage, expense reimbursement, etc.
