Job Description

The Digital Transformation Lead (DTL) is responsible for planning and delivering digital transformation engagements for clients. They are engaged with the client from the sales process, working alongside other practitioners, sales, and delivery staff to design the solution, define scope, schedule, budget, and through implementation.

They must be exceptional communicators who are comfortable engaging with C-suite stakeholders, technology leaders, and partner organization representatives. They will thrive in a dynamic environment and be adept at leading complex transformation programs.

The DTL will be the primary practitioner leader for implementation phases of Digital Transformation programs (from Assessment through to Continuous Implementation). They are responsible for coordinating the efforts of all involved functions to deliver the program successfully, including close alignment with the Delivery Organization and all involved Centers of Excellence. Working alongside the Digital Transformation Director (DTD), they will serve as the primary point of contact for the customer during the execution phases of transformation programs. Members of other functions engaged on the program will take direction from the DTL throughout the program.

The DTL will apply developed subject matter expertise to solve common and complex business issues and recommend appropriate alternatives. They will provide clear, actionable direction to the team, drive clear communication amongst all program stakeholders, and drive operational excellence within the program. They will exercise independent judgment to identify and select solutions to client challenges, effectively leveraging subject matter experts for areas outside of their expertise. In partnership with Workstream Project Managers(OD3), The DTL plans projects and programs from start to finish, including milestones and deadlines, identifies staffing needs, coordinates the interfaces and prioritizes resources between projects, reduces the friction and makes decision-making easier around project conflicts, and uses data and metrics to determine and facilitate ongoing improvements.

In cooperation with Delivery Director (DD), the DTL is responsible for execution and the establishment of a trusted advisor relationship with client on the assigned project portfolio, that is, setting up and facilitating project governance process, standardization of the techniques and approaches and problem resolution, defining delivery excellence criteria/KPIs including quality of the services/solutions, identifying potential areas of concern, providing top-quality service to achieve account growth targets in the most efficient manner ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction and long-term success strategy.

The DTL will assist in establishing and refining Digital Transformation Program assets, including Transformation Roadmaps, Implementation accelerators, Governance arrangements, and program reporting mechanisms.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Digital Strategies

  • Close, and deliver customized client engagements that enable digital transformation for clients through leveraging the most effective technologies and platforms

Manage Transformation Programs

  • The day-to-day management of large-scale digital transformation implementation programs, ensuring that they are delivering the expected value to the customer, are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining a focus on quality and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Aligns the program (and related project portfolio) stakeholders expectations
  • Change management procedure (Cost, Time, Quality) within program (and related project portfolio)

Engage with Senior Leadership

  • Collaborate with Senior leadership and C-Suite executives, providing strategic insights and implementation guidance to influence decision-making processes and garner support for transformation initiatives

Orchestrate Transformation Efforts

  • Coordinate various aspects of transformation programs, including technology implementation and change management, to ensure seamless integration and adoption across the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability
  • Ensures the alignment of all processes within the project portfolio (project management processes, development processes, operational processes) and the usage of the best practices

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Director of Digital Transformation for Pilgrim's that will report to the corporate office in Greeley, Colorado. This role will be responsible for directing the digital transformation for Pilgrim's, across all U.S. business units.
Responsibilities:

+ Provide thorough leadership, conduct workshops, and identify the big business opportunities in the supply chain where technology can create significant value to the company.
+ Identify the best tech stack, use cases and applications within AI, Cloud, IOT and Automation/ robotics to support our business needs.
+ Work closely with IT and partners to define the best productionizing plan, with the most effective ML-Ops and Dev-ops.
+ Hire, develop and manage high performing functional and technical teams (solution architects, project managers, UI/UX leads, Software Developers, QA leads, Cloud teams, data scientists, engineers), directly or indirectly, by providing the right guidance, mentorship and specialized training.
+ Work collaboratively with IT to define the proper technology solutions, architectures, platforms, and partners.
+ Define strategic and tactical priorities, developing, proposing and managing budgets to support our digital initiatives.
+ Properly develop and manage our vendors and partnerships to create easy access to new solutions and capabilities, with the ability to scale in a cost-effective manner.
+ Manage the development work, making sure the projects are delivered in accordance with the program objectives, benefits, requirements and tech specifications.
+ Make sure we have sound and efficient product solutions, that are easy to scale, integrate, and evolve, reliable, secure, while building an agile innovation operating model.
+ Create clear communication plans with all stakeholders involved, building valuable relationships, building the right processes, procedures, standards and control mechanisms to properly execute the Program.
+ Work with stakeholders to create the program communication, generate collaboration, identify talents for our work with our initiatives, provide the right training strategy to develop our digital capabilities and increase technology adoption.
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor/Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, Business Administration or related fields.
+ Well rounded technologist with deep understanding of the capabilities as well as current limitations of hardware, software, data architectures, IOT, computer vision, robotics, automation, and other technology components that facilitate business transformation.
+ Strong leadership ability, with proven track-record of translating business objectives to transformation programs and initiatives, with clear technical solutions that drive ROI.
+ Leadership experience managing transformation programs, with sound knowledge of process improvement disciplines. Consulting background is a plus.
+ 10+ years of IT Project experience is preferred.
+ 6+ years of experience working in Software and digital technology development, supervising technology teams and overseeing large projects, with 2 or more years of hands-on data science, project management, BI experience or a combination of these.
+ Experience in guiding teams in the application of technologies such as neural networks, machine learning, and other analytical methods to solve complex business challenges.
+ Strong ability to use logic and excellent problem-solving and code debugging skills.
+ Demonstrated experience with agile development methods. Agile at scale is a plus.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
+ A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
+ Experience in agricultural/meat/animal industries is a plus.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture, with a strong focus on DevOps practices and digital transformation
+ 5+ years of experience leading successful digital transformation initiatives within large organizations, particularly in transitioning from legacy systems
+ 5+ years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on cloud-based solutions and DevOps practices
+ 10 years of experience leading software team and/or projects
+ 5+ years of experience in automated provisioning and configuring of software-defined infrastructure and designing for continuous deployment and continuous operations
+ Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins) and practices, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
+ Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and the ability to think critically and strategically
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
+ Experience in industrial engineering or process optimization is highly desirable
+ Experience with AWS or Azure GovCloud
+ Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or software architecture (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Security+) certification
