The Manager of Laboratory Services at Methodist Charlton Medical Center provides oversight, direction and management for specified area(s) encompassing 24/7 responsibility and scope of services. Works both independently and interdependently with internal and external customers to accomplish efficient, cost effective, quality patient care. Supports and promotes the vision, mission, values, and strategic plans of Methodist health systems while supporting the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.
Formulates plans, organizes resources, directs personnel and develops policies in the Pathology Laboratory as directed by the Medical Director. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week line responsibility of the department and sections of the laboratory to ensure implementation of the medical/clinical programs.
Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster in southwestern Dallas County. In addition to the new 40,000-square-foot expansion of the emergency department, we offer a newly renovated intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, and interventional radiology suite; a Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Dr. Stephen and Marilyn Mansfield Oncology Unit. - Gathers performance improvements indicators and survey data to identify trends. Develops Plans of Corrective Actions with the Regional Operations Leader, Executive Directors and Director of Health and Wellness.
- Schedules periodic site visits to provide supervision, clinical expertise, ensure communication, and to monitor the overall operation the clinical services department. Conducts facility reviews based on operational needs, changes in management and commitment to regulatory compliance
- Reviews all potential move-outs due to level of care concerns prior to any notifications provided. Reviews all potential move-in denials prior to any communication with prospective resident or family member
- Provide in-service training and orientation to community staff regarding survey process, risk management, corporate compliance, performance improvement, etc.
- Attendance required at all meetings at the discretion of your Manager or Regional Supervisor
- Must be computer literate, excellent working knowledge of all pertinent software
- Responsible for timely information reporting
- Must stay in compliance with all state, federal, and government agencies

Provides guidance to the community Executive Directors, Administrators, and Directors of Health and Wellness. Supports other team members to assure delivery of consistently high-quality person-centered care to residents. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities with consistent, safe, and effective nursing practice in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Maintains current state license as Registered Nurse ( RN ), per state regulations
- Bachelor-level healthcare degree preferred
- (3 or more) years senior living experience in a leadership role
- BLS Certification
- Experience in multi-state and multi-community support
